Keith is using open G now for just about every song including JJ Flash and St. Fighting man--songs that originally were recorded in open E or D. I still use open E for songs like prodigal son , you got the silver and salt of the earth. Thanks for showing us that---the tone sounds right on dude!

oh yeah but capo on 9th fret give you hard times doing the chorus....anyway open g on 5th fret it's the right way to play it

I got a mesa boogie mark III. For this song I tune to open E tuning and capo it up on the 9th fret. Sounds like this guy tuned in open G.
