  • the best parade from Macy's. Jersey boys was the most expected act on that day... I became a Jersey Boy's fan since that day!!! by the way, these four guys are the best performers among all jersey boy's groups out there!!!!

  • I LOVE Bobby Spencer!

  • You should see J. Robert Spencer (Nock Massi) do "Law & Order"

  • John Lloyd Young... I think I might be in love with you. Just kidding*

    *Not kidding.

  • In A Jerrard Spector/Jersey Boys Frame of Mind. Living dolls, all of them! I've seen so many great musicals, but I have never responded, on emotional level, to any preformance, like this one. One wave of feeling after another. What a time of my life that soundtrack was!

  • my oh my john lloyd young. simply amazing.

  • These guys are awesome!!!! I have listened to them so much my six year old thinks hes Frankie Valli.

  • @thehunter444 thats so cute

  • JLY <3!!!

  • Okay i always see comments about John Lloyd Young, Bobby Spencer, and Christian Hoff. But what about Daniel Reichard he is an awesome Bob Gaudio let me tell you.

  • BOBBY! <3

  • great performance!

  • I love this cast. I wish I had the opportunity to see them as the Jersey Boys but the current casts are also amazing. It is just a great show!!

  • yes, JLY was without a doubt the best actor for Frankie.

  • my favorite was Michael Longoria, but JLY is AMAZING too. I was lucky enough to see them both.

  • the tallest guy looks like tom cruise

    yes/no?

  • I really dont see it.

  • @terrion4543 not in person

  • JLY really needs to come back to the show..He was the only one who really sang the songs true and with some character and depth....

  • i said that too until i saw jarrod spector, but i agree jly should come back, well actually i wouldnt mind seeing all of them come back

  • I guess you haven't seen Joseph Leo Bwarie

  • If you love this video you gotta watch the video with Jeff Madden and the Toronto cast on Canada AM. Such a great cast.

  • this never ceases to put a smile on my face :)

  • guys singing in suits!! <3

Love Jersey Boys. I saw it in Vegas and it was amazing I want to see it again and again.

  • i got to see christian hoff perform as Sky Masterson in Guys and Dd\olls a few hours ago and i got to hug him and shake his hand!! he ws amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have never herd anything like his voice before! he is just amazing! and we r getting married also!!!! woohoo!!!

  • My fave fave fave rendition ever. I love how they changed the verses and had JLY singing "why'd it take so long to see the light", followed by that soulful "yeeaaaahhhh" haha Perfect.

  • my only complaint about the show is that they do not refrence years. what year was it that they finally broke out, what year did Tommy move to Vegas 'for his health' when did thye enter the hall of fame, all i know is that Nicki died in 2000. but i can look up the rest, the show is amazing!! so glad this one showed some of the other songs they sing besides sherry and big girls don't cry

  • I love these guys i've had the previlege of seeing twice in New York each time it was amazing i'd kill too see them again

  • AHHHHHHH everytime I watch this, I miss them all more and more :(

  • Oow!

    I love Jersey Boys!!

I like John Lloyd Young! :)

"So close, so close and yet so far..." Aaaaww! *--*

  • Wow! I bet they would love to kick the guy who thought up them dancing on grass

for this...it looked like it was hard to do some of the dance moves....

  • magical..just magical.

  • does ANYBODY have the 2007 Thanksgiving Day Parade performance?

  • @TheOutsidersloover they didn't perform in the 2007 parade.

  • WOW! Love this so good....

  • They are fantastic !!! But lets never forget that they are recreating and bringing to life the original

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons..

Was there and I will never experience a more wondrous era.

  • i love the way their harmonies blend together

  • I'm really upset that I can't find their other Macy's performance.

  • I love this show! The choreography is so simple yet, very effective. And their voices mix so well.

  • I'm a huge fan of J. Robert Spencer! He kicks ass!

  • yes jarod spector is the current frankie valli on broadway. but i did not see him when i went. i say the guy for the wednesday and saturday matenees. his name escapes me though now. im only 14 and i love all of this music. r.i.p nick massi

  • yeah! Jarrod doensn't perform for the Wednesday matenees but for the 8pm show

  • me encanta desde españa , con nueva york de fondo, inmejorable..................

  • I WISH jOHN lYOD yOUNG WAS BACK!

  • i wish the whole obc was back

  • ME TOO!!!

  • Wait. You mean John Lloyd is STILL performing this same show on Broadway?

    The ORIGINAL guy?

  • JLY left the original cast in Nov 2007. I believe the current "Frankie Valli" on Broadway is Jarrod Spector.

  • Have you heard him? is he any good compared to JLY?

  • i happened to just see this show in december with Jarrod Spector and he is just as amazing! of course he doesn't sound the same but it is hard to see a difference

  • This group of guys never cease to give me a thrill (in more ways than one)Saw on John Lloyd Young's website that he is straight. Damn shame. Love that guy. All of them for that matter. Heard that a totally new group were performing the musical. Does this particular group have a CD? Love to have it if so.

  • These are the original Broadway cast - they are on the JB cast recording.

  • It's been 2 1/2 years since I saw this show and John Lloyds voice still makes the hairs on my arms stand up.

  • the new cast w/ dominic nolfi as tommy, matt bogart as nick, jarod specter as frankie, sebastian arcleus as bob is good but no one will ever live up to this cast

  • Yep! Sometimes the truth seems hard, but.....

    it's still the truth!

  • When did Matthew Scott leave?

  • Matthew left a long time ago. I pretty sure that it was back before John did.

  • Not live CBS!

(John Lloyd Young is my favorite talking Frankie and Jarrod Spector is my favorite singing Frankie)

I haven't seen the new guys....I will miss Jarrod like mad...took clients 8 times, so can't imagine it...

  • I got to see them their premiere year...it was amazing :)

  • ah...John Lloyd Young...<3 haha. I love this :) he looks like Steve Carell. (sp*?)

  • I don't thinks he's as hairy as Steve and he's a little guy. But adorable! I got to meet him in August:)

  • The choreography is so great on every song!

How long was John Lloyd Young in the show?

  • Young was the best as Valli but Longoria was very good too, i saw it last month

  • I want to see live Broadway performances with JLY in them. Are they on Youtube?

  • yeah search for Jersey Boys broadway cast

  • I actually liked Longoria a little better myself...

  • I relate so much to My Eyes Adored You. That explains the relationship of this one girl i really like now. I'm glad they did a song based on that

  • absolutely amazing! of course there's nothing like the OBC. I got to meet Christian Hoff, and J. Robert Spencer. But I saw the show with Michael Longoria as Frankie Valli, and Sebastian Arcelus as Bob Gaudio. Although I must say they were good as well. And all of them are handsome and sweet ;)

  • But like whats he doing now besides that thing in august with rosie odonnell?

  • John Lloyd was Marius in "Les Mis" at the Hollywood Bowl. Now he has moved to Los Angeles. yeah! Now I hope to see him more now that he is here in California:) He was incredible as Marius. I met him after the show.

  • what happened to jly

  • He left in November. Michael Longoria is the new Frankie Valli.

  • JLY is sooooo chisled. Yea, man.

  • I luv this musical

  • JLY is such a fox. :) And such a classy group-- a great musical. <3

  • are they really singing there or lip syncing??

  • no i don't think so

  • yeah... that was pre-recorded

  • i bought the cd two weeks ago and i'm totally digging it!

listen to it like 2 or sometimes 3 times a day

i adore john lloyd young's voice!!!!!

  • I love this!! Jersey Boys is so amazing!!

  • Omg!! I saw them in consert. Jersey Boys is realy a musical inspired by the four seasons.

The Jersey Boys musical was FANOMINAL!!!

p.s, I love the guy who played Boby!!

  • to Broadwaypianogirl411...John Lloyd Young, the original Frankie wrote me on May 3, 2007 -- Frankie Valli's birthday.

  • just wait for them to come out of the stage door.

  • Have you ever noticed that only Broadway stars use all of their names?

  • The last song is just CRYING to be used as the end credits for the movie version of this musical. If they make one, of course.

  • one of my top ten fave songs - EVER :)

  • When I saw this great show on Broadway, Martin Scorsese was a few seats down from me and everyone went up to him for an autograph ~ I wondered if he was there, not only to enjoy this colossal show, but also to visualize it as a film! The greatest director alive, directing one of the best musicals of the past 10 years? That would be pure magic in the making! I hope it's true...

  • was this March 18, 2007?

  • Yes! Were you there too?

  • I was!!! The real Bob Gaudio was there, too. I also met Daniel Reichard, who played Bob Gaudio at that time after the show. I was row "V" orchestra.

  • Cool! I was in the orchestra row K seat 105.

I was so happy that the original cast was still playing...I loved this show. I've seen hundreds in my lifetime and this ranks in the Top 10 for sure!

  • I love "Oh What a Night!"

  • I am soooo into "Jersey Boys" that after I saw "Spring Awakening," I booked over to the "August Wilson" to see if I could meet Michael Longoria, J. Robert Spencer, and/or Christian Hoff. I did meet J. Robert Spencer, Tommy Devito's alternate, and I met Michael Langoria the day I met Daniel Reichard. I've kinda met all four.

  • lol. I love Jersey Boys to..I think we all do!

    Welcome to the fan club!

  • how did you do that??? I would love to meet them :)

  • John and Jarrod are my two fave. Frankie's...I love them both the same. Heck, I am in just love with this musical!

  • does anyone know the name to the second song?

  • It's called "Dawn". =)

  • thank you (:

  • i realize that. i am so into the jersy boys and when you want to watch it on youtube, well, you dont find anything , but this is just what i am lokking for

  • i just cant stop watchin this video its awsome and person below me i feel the same way =]

does a larger part of a song. Wow!

  • oh how i love them.

  • I wish daniel was still their sebastian doesnt do as good of a job as bob for the acting that is

  • John Lloyd will be missed, there's no one better then him...

  • amen to that

  • I adore the Jersey Boys. I just saw it a few weeks ago in Seattle. I'm only 12 (:

But I thought it was fantastic. I listen to their soundtrack every day! (: And yeah, when I went, they had a different Bob, Frankie, and Tommy.

  • yeah, cause the cast seen here is the one that stays in New York.

  • Lol me too =] I love listening to the soundtrack! I listen to it every night before I go to bed

  • i love that music

  • It takes a toll on your body when you sing the same show 8 times a week the whole year

  • I saw it yesterday in nyc, even though different guys played frankie and tommy it was awesome

  • dude the jersey boys pwned.why did john lloyd leave?he was the greatest. That new guys sucks balls

  • I happen to love Michael Longoria!

But I agree, JLY will be missed dearly

  • Because he can't play Frankie forever.

  • The cheese factor of this particular performance is pretty high, but still a wonderful chance to hear them :) (I'm actually a big fan of cheesy)

    Thanks for posting!

  • hahaha well u have to remember, the whole songs/dance moves are a little cheesy to us since we have such a different idea of entertainment. But back in the day when they were famous, well it couldnt be cheesy then, so just a little something to keep in mind)but yeah this is amazing

  • john lloyd young is just as good as frankie valie !

  • he just announced on his blog that since the strike will continue, he has done his last performance as frankie vallie

  • think he will come back?? :(

  • Hopefully. I WANT TO SEE YOU JOHN, SO DON'T LEAVE! PLEASE!

  • i hope he does, also note i meant valli not vallie. wow wat a horrible italian i am. lol. He did say he was done FOR NOW. so well see

  • Lol

  • That stinks. He was soo good on Broadway!

  • the music is awesome, but the dance precision is absolutely incredible. You do not see the rappers doing this shit. The "Boys" are way better.

  • amen lol

  • Agreed! And they do it in person! We sat in the 2nd row and every step was right on!

  • Yeah, Rappers arent really singers. Some of the time it even sounds like rappers are just saying the lyrics.

  • ok so I SAW IT!!

and THANK THE LORD they were all in it!

AND i waited at the stage door with my mom after the show (we're such groupies lol) and i got to meet all four of them and got a pictue with JLY!!! omg it was the best night of my life (so far...)

  • lol that guy made daniel reichard french! (the way he pronounced his last name... anyone?.....)

  • i want to see this musical so much! i love the four seasons! the broadway cast is phenomenal! the singing and the dancing just gets me

  • wow they are fantastic

  • OMG! amazing! guess who is going to see them in ny next week! WOOT WOOT! X-D

  • Oh what a night! The best song ever!

  • it'll be the same cast if you dont see it on a wednsday or weekend, then john and daniel wont be in it

  • omg THANK YOU! now i can sleep at night LOL

  • LOL totally

  • im so excited! im seeing it for the second time on november 7th! im also a little scared tho... what if it's not them anymore??

  • Lucky

  • LOL too funny you are! Jersey Boys----HOT HOT HOT!!! The Two Shorties are my favs

  • thank you! i <3 the shorties too LOL!!

  • i don't think they lip synched since john's voice cracked a little in the beginning.

  • dude, he is a great imitation of frankie valli, why would someone like that "lip synch"? Its like telling actors to have other people voice them.

  • They are sooooooooo awesome! I just saw this original cast on Sept. 22nd in NYC and its one of the best shows EVER!!!!! Love it! Love it! Love it!!!

  • It's also important to note that they did not use puppets for the dancing parts. They atcually did their own dancing!!!

  • ahahahaha

  • this was honestly one of my favs of their performances. great song choice, great singing (who cares if its lip synching)

  • As i stated before, ITS NOT LIP SYNCH!!

  • Dude. I know they didn't lip synch, I was just saying that I don't think it's possible b/c John's voice cracked a little. I love John Lloyd Young and Jersey Boys, I would never insinuate them of any lip synching. I was just saying that in reply to people who think they were. Chill.

  • haha, its spelled lip sync.

  • well i know...

i was just saying that to people who think it is

    :D

  • that snap at the beginning was SO CUTE!

  • what's the title of the very first song?

  • You might've found out already...but it's My Eyes Adored You =)

  • who cares if they are lip syncing. Its not easy doing 8 shows a week, so its important they don't ruin their voice.

  • I couldn't really tell that they were lip syncing except for the parts where they didn't really hold the microphone up high enough when they sang. Kinda surprised that they're lip syncing though?

  • I don't think the last song - December '63 - is lip synching...I just listened to the soundtrack, and theres only one voice on the soundtrack...in this video, all 4 are clearly singing...the first 2 - definitely lip synching...last one, I'm not sure

  • The re-recorded everything, nothing is from the OBC recording. They went to the studio and recorded this set, as when they performed there was no live band

  • i saw them on Broadway, and they were PHENOMENAL!!! just like chocolateandbooks said...after every number they got a standing ovation...they truly are wonderful performers!

  • But like I said, in this version, they are lip synching to a NEW recording of their voices.

  • Watch and listen carefully to the 2005 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade video and then listen to the cast recording. They are EXACTLY the same. Thus, it is clearly obvious that no one is actually performing.

A main reason that they lip synch during the parade is because the weather is usually horrible and unpredictable and i'm very sure they still have shows to do that evening. Therefore, they probably dont want the performers to screw up their voices.

  • Thank you thea9649 also it is not a know fact JBell you just think it's a fact because you are saying it...Also you think they are lip synching, but no professional would sink as low as lip synching.

  • It's a different recording of their voices. It's what spartancatcher05 said, they took the cast recording, got rid of the original vocals on them, and then re recorded them.

Also, it's a known fact that during the Parade every Broadway show lip synches.

  • Did you ever hear of blocking out the sounds from different parts of the parade and the crowds? You couldn't hear anything if that wasn't done. The Boys were singing, the horns were blowing and the drums were druming.THAT WAS REAL!!!

  • Ok we know everyone thinks that they are lip synching. Well are any of you a professional music teacher. If you listen closely in the first song which is "My Eyes Adored You" the person who is singing is higher than the CD recording. Everyone else who is singing is also higher than the CD, that is if any of you listen to the CD with the viedo going.

  • YOU ARE CORRECT!!!
