  • Where were they going that cost so much for travel? Were all of the members taking a trip to Disney World? Why would I want a cure for autism? So I can have more greedy, ableist NT's running this planet? Hell no. I can't believe it cost two million more dollars for promoting ads (i.e. I Am Autism). That money should be used for feeding the homeless, or better yet, making services to make autistic lives better.

  • Dang! Two million dollars just for travel?!? And to think, all of that money should havae gone for something worth donating, like food, water, and education in Third World countries, or trying to cure cancer. Plus, the rest of the money goes to genocide towards us. NO support for autistic people and their families whatsoever. Go away, Autism Speaks. Stop trying to rob the community's money over irrelevant stuff and trying to wipe us out.

  • Please join us at "Autism Largest Facebook Group, End Autism Now! We need 9,999,999 Members" and "autisticfriend" on facebook and post or voice your opinion on autism. Thank you

  • This group should be in Jail! Living off the pain of Autistic families... despicable!

  • WE STRUGGLE EVERYDAY WITH OUR 8 YEAR OLD SON AND WE SUPPORT AND WALK FOR AUTISM SPEAKS. it helps get the message through awareness and we all need to be educated on topics like this one

  • @mrlogek If you support Autism Speaks, get ready for your son to hate your guts when he is twenty-eight. My parents are already having that kind of experience. Yes, you all need to be educated, but there is a very big difference between being educated and misinformed. Autism Speaks only ever deals in the latter.

  • If anyone wants, you can "like" them on facebook, bomb their wall with informative links exposing them, then unlike their group. All posts will stay up on the wall and you don't have to contribute to their fan numbers, which are WAY to high.

  • Where are you getting your information from, I have not heard about this before. Besides it is the decision of the parents if they find out that their child is not going to be normal if they want to have the child or not no one else's. My son is autistic and i do not care what the doctors or anyone else told me, i would have had him anyway. I would not lose out on the wonderful adventure I have had and will continue to have with me son. It has been tough at times, but life is unpredictable.

  • i do not know why there are so many ignorant people when it comes to autism, to be anti-autism speaks is stupid, I understand that not everything they do is morally correct, but they have opened up a lot of doors for families with autistic children. Protest something that needs to be protested like testing on animals, pedifiles on facebook, myspace stuff like that., come on people. I am a parent of a autistic child and i support autism speaks 100%!!!!!!!!

  • @daffertulsa1 They want to kill my brothers and sisters before they have a chance. I'm not one for hyperbole, but this is like asking Jews to support Nazis. I am not exaggerating here, their primary goal is a "cure". This supposed "cure" is taking the form of pre-natal testing so autistic babies can be aborted. People killed for being different. PEOPLE KILLED FOR BEING DIFFERENT.

  • @daffertulsa1 Do you support the abortion of autistics because they atre different? Children are not property; no one has the right to euthanize someone else without their consent.

  • @daffertulsa1 fuck you autism speaks has never given a shit for autistic people.

  • @daffertulsa1 What if it's the wrong doors? The door to discrimination, to assumptions, to abortion, to forcing kids to be normal.

  • I am raising a child with autism,Whats your superpower? You don't have a clue!

  • Unbelievable! What about the kids!?!?

  • Cannabis and ashtanga yoga are the treatments for autism.

  • Autism Speaks , It Speaks Against Autism it does not speak for us.

    Thank you

  • you know autism speaks blamed VA tech shooting on the fact autism was one of the guys diagnoses, and becuz of that a autisic kid was stabned 7 times by 2 other kids , autism speaks is guilty of murder for that , but thats not all they actuly provide laywers to mothers who killed there autisic kids and got them 6 months in the mental hospital .

  • @Glyth1 that's because they use us as children then leave us in the system to nearly die. Those people deserve to die for that. I say we have a national "disabled bring your gun and shoot today.""

  • by the way they DID NOT PAY us at all . Some people think we did it for the money but that's NOT true . We made or payed for are costume's on are own .

They didn't even give us a place to change , we had to change in the hall way or in a smelly bath room . They told us we would have a changing room all the water and food we could eat but we never got it !!!

Nothing like dragging your $1-2000,00 dollar costume all over the bathroom floor , they didn't even get us a seat . we sat on the floor

  • I WAS in the Autism walks for the last 4-5 years , yes I was one of the ones in full costume head to toe with my friends . We did bring in a lot of money for the walk because people like to get pictures with us but most of the money Never made it to the kids or where it was supposed to go .

90% of it found it's way to the N.Y stock market ! ( the rich get richer )

  • Vaccines arent to blame, and even if they were the risk of childhood diseases{ like measles--which leave your child blind, retarded and dead.}..are much higher, not to mention the fact that infected people can infect OTHER children and pregnant mothers.Toodle on down to your local Victorian cemetary and get a load of those death dates, in the 19th century it wasnt at all uncommon to lose three children in one week . You really want to go back to those days??

  • @Taraterm2 Blindness from measles is so rare the CDC doesn't have a statistic. Dead? Sure, that's true of any disease. Most likely, these diseases will take their course and you'll be FINE. You can still get any disease even if you are vaccinated. Vaccines are not 100% effective. Unlike the Victorian age, we have sanitation, running water, proper trash disposal, better medical care that is easy to access. You cannot rule out vaccines as a trigger for autism. It hasn't been studied thoroughly.

  • @delanea You can't "still get any disease even if you are vaccinated" you can get a different strain, but not the same one. Hence why you get only get a couple measles vaccinations, but a flu vaccination ever year. And you can rule out vaccines as a cause, only one fraudulent study every claimed to make the link. Let's say that again, ONLY FRAUD HAS LINKED VACCINES TO AUTISM.

  • @delanea What's sad is that while that real disease is not registered with the CDC, autism is... as though it is a disease!

  • I'm disturbed by this video, mostly because it makes claims with no references to where the info comes from. Also, nooogetta, are you claiming that Autism Speaks lobbies AGAINST research? Who are they giving the research money to? Scientists who will say their is no link to vaccines, or say autism is a scam? Is this why insurance isn't covering it? I have AS, and I have a child with it, and I believe training of teachers to work with diverse groups is tantamount. Do they help with this?

  • @IThinkdoU The evidence is in the link to Autism Speaks financial disclosures from their own website. And Autism Speaks mostly funds research into pre-natal testing so autistic babies can be aborted. Only a small percentage of their funds go to support and training programs. And these are highly publicized so the meager investment can be used for promotion, not support.

  • @IThinkdoU Are you for the neurodiversity movement? The neurodiversity movement states that we are not any better or worse or better or worse off then NTs. Just as long as the teachers know this and treat the students accordingly!

  • renaissanceknight, I've spent 6-8 yrs doing my own research. Read Kirby's Evidence of Harm & tell me where he's wrong. Fact is, there's still the same very toxic level of mercury in current flu vaccines. & Autism Speaks has so stinking much power and money that they're able to buy up damn near everyone who speaks out against this genocide. I don't support the neurodiverse either. Something is WRONG with a child who smears feces & can't speak or be toilet trained. ND crowd's merely a red herring.

  • @nooogetta Kirby's wrong because he made up the results. The study was fraudulent. You can find more mercury in your tuna, then in a crate of vaccines. The low functioning autistics have the problems you describe because people are trying to "cure" them. Teach them how to be safe, and comfort them, on their terms, and everything will be fine.

  • @nooogetta I'm glad you knw about the genocide. However, many many organizations treat people like there is more wrong about them than right, focusing on the bad and not on the talents they have that make up for it. that is what we are worried about.

  • @anastassiaflorine

Autism Speaks wants to pay people to walk around with people who aren't terrible socially adept, and tell them what to say. What I find absurd is that the people who aren't terribly socially adept are probably marvelous engineers and artists and musicians, but they can't make a living because the people who control the purse strings these days, for the most part, value the ability to schmooze above all else.

  • This is all false information!!!

  • @renaissanceknight Really? The financial statements from Autism Speaks support the video.

  • thanks for doing the money figures on this group again. Sad thing is I don't think organizations and people that advocate for them (like stars) actually know the truth.

  • @tmventresca Have you ever got the true figures from Autism Speaks? Do your own research!!! ASAN does not want us to help anyone with Autism. They do not think that they have a disability or are different. But, I am 46 and Autistic. I know the truth and I want help to be able to fit in and be able to work, find a girlfriend, get married, buy a house, have kids and start my own family. I am also for teaching others the truth about Autism and how to act around autistic people. We do need reaserch!

  • @renaissanceknight We're not disabled. Not anymore then someone who's colorblind, or tone deaf. You sound like a paraplegic whining about how he needs help because he can't walk, while all the other paraplegics are off playing basketball. I'm autistic, I have a girlfriend, a playmate on the side, going to college, looking for a house, and plan to have kids once I'm out of school. Stop moping and come join us in having a life.

  • @xcyoteex As a parent of an autistic child, I'll tell you that as you probably know the autism spectrum is very broad. There are a lot of autistic children who live full, very adapt lives. Other autistic children struggle with very serious, not easy to address problems. I grew up in a household of a physically disabled person (with a brittle bone disorder, OI) and I've been a parent to an autistic child. I love both my brother and my son completely. However, your experience is not

  • @xcyoteex the experience of everyone. As bright and brilliant as my son is - and I love him - his issues with self harming, rage, depression, etc. And while we work with many to help work on those issues, they are not the kind of thing you can blow off. (I do completely agree that the people who hang their hat on Vaccines and Mercury are boobs, though). But because of the broad range of autism, there are many who really do struggle with the realities.

  • @tmservo The depression and rage nmight be due to people treating him like he's disabled or substandard...

  • @anastassiaflorine First, I do view it as a real disability. I grant that for some it isn't. Then again, someone who has a hardened compulsion to do serious physical harm to himself.. that is a disability. But I think that htere is a misnomer here that disability = horrible. As I said, I grew up in a household of someone physically disabled. Being disabled isn't the same as saying "not worth anything". Disabled people of all sorts are fantastic - just different.

  • @tmservo It is also worth noting that a lot of what gets called disability these days is a matter of societal attitude. I cannot remember who said it first, but I always think in terms of the reversion test. If there were a ratio of one normie for every 150 autistic individuals, normies would not only be considered very disabled, but they would end up knowing what it is like to live cheek by jowl with discrimination and fear every day.

  • A very informitive truthful video, thank you for making and helping to spread some anti-Autism Speaks awareness.

  • Wow, that's really sad.

  • @nooogetta Have you ever got the true figures from Autism Speaks? Do your own research! Vacines have nothing to do with it.ASAN does not want us to help anyone with Autism. They do not think that they have a disability or are different. But, I am 46 and Autistic. I know the truth and I want help to be able to fit in and be able to work, find a girlfriend, get married, buy a house, have kids and start my own family. We do need reaserch!

  • @renaissanceknight Would you have wanted to be aborted? Also, ASAN does believe we are different... just not any more disabled or lower quality than NTs.
