That was an ammonium perchlorate rocket to me I have fired hundreds of these in my rocket club That thing was huge but the truck would be a very heavy sled it would not go very fast at all The rule of thumb is thrust must be at minimum of 6 times the weight of the vechical. 3500lbs truck would need at least 21K pounds of thrust just to get it moving. That was not 21Klbs Plus guys in the rocket club built cars that weighed 5lbs and used rockets with 450 of thrust and went 50 mph, thats 9X minimum
"3500lbs truck would need at least 21K pounds of thrust just to get it moving."
Right so if I push a truck to get it moving down the road when it's out of gas I have to push it with 21000lbs of force. So no human in the world can push a vehicle and no car in the world can tow another car
Go back to the books kiddo. You don't have a clue about momentum, energy, work, isp and a bunch of other physics. Get a copy of Sutton and do all the worked examples.
Perhaps you should read his post with as much gusto as you insult it. He specifically said "of the vertical". He's talking about VERTICAL movement, not HORIZONTAL movement.
100mph max, unless the truck is heavily modified the running gear just wouldn't take it. It's a sizable hybrid rocket ( but it only burns for 6 seconds. Fit more rockets and you'd probably get 160mph. But no more.
Well, I don't think it could go 300 mph. Sure, the Shockwave Peterbuilt truck can go 370 mph, but that's because it has 3 jet engines with a total of 36,000 HP. This truck, would probably go about 200+mph.
I WANNA B IN IT WHEN IT TAKES OFF

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thought of this. Makes me feel a little less crazy, or just as crazy as you.

I was waiting for it to blow up at the end when it went inside.

Now all they need is an oscillation overthruster and a guy named "Buckaroo" to drive it!

Not AP, This is a nitrous oxide hybrid.

Would have expected a way hotter or bluer flame using an oxidiser like nitrous.

@rocketpoweredkeith totally agree. it is so obvious.

No he didn't. Follow your own advice.
He wrote "vehical" a common misspelling by morons of VEHICLE
Plus he couldn't even read the description of N2O asphalt hybrid rocket NOT an Ammonium perchlorate solid

Top speed would depend on the weight, thrust and running time of the rocket motor.
