  • I have the one with the slab side barrel and i love it

  • They are fun and cool pistols. I have had the 4" older model 22/45 MKII for maybe 12 years.

I had the front sight moved back slightly and the barrel threaded for my SDS6 suppressor. To be completely politically incorrect I use an M16A1 flash hider for a thread protector while the suppressor is mounted on my 10/22.

  • that wind sounds like corpus christi texas.

  • what did he say ?

  • Nice gun, I have the one with the slightly shorter but still cool looking slab side barrel. I trust you made it home OK, all that wind noise in the video I was kind of waiting for the spot where your truck got sucked up into a tornado.

  • @kgradio Terrible mic on my camera - it amplifies the slightest breeze. I like that slab-sided one too.

  • You cant go wrong with the ruger, may want to get a mic with a wind sock. Enjoy that Ruger.

  • That place that you're shooting looks like the movie "The Road"

  • i know you know but careful with that finger on the trigger when reloading :D

  • Do not take it down clean these bugger never need it,

  • I ordered this exact model this morning then went looking for vids tonight. I saw some other reviews saying this thing was a real pain in the butt to take down to clean. Can you comment on that? I'm considering cancelling my order if it's as much trouble as they were saying.

  • @ElDub50 I think it gets easier the more often you take it down, but yeah - it was pretty difficult the first time I did it.

  • @ElDub50 It is a great pistol. I would not say its "hard" to take down , but definatly confusing.

  • @ElDub50

I hope you didn't xnl your order! I've had mine for two three years now and love it! Not EVERY firearm is going to fall apart after removing a "take down pin". From the beginning I did not consider the take down to be an issue.

So it takes an extra few seconds. With the accuracy and the cost per magazine to shoot this, it's all relative. I own a Glock 19 and a Ruger SR9c also, but my 22/45 is my favorite to shoot. And not just due to the cost!

  • @lostburro just delayed it ... had to have something to buy myself for christmas :)

  • @ElDub50

SWEET! As long as you use decent ammo, you will never have a problem with it!

  • @lostburro good point, gimme a couple recommendations .. except for an antique Marlin I don't have any other 22s so I'm not up on ammo. I have way too much .40 ammo that I tried to go cheap on and discovered I shouldn't have wasted my money LOL. I'd rather not experiment any more :)

  • @ElDub50

If you plan to shoot a LOT, for bulk ammo, I would recommend the Federal Champion "Value Pack". If you have the money to spend, CCI Stinger or pretty much any CCI 22LR ammo. Personal preference...so that I don't get a bunch of crap from people....I would stay away from ANY bulk 22LR ammo produced by Remington. Whether it be Remington "Thunderbolt", "Peters" or whatever. READ THE LABEL. My experience with ALL cheap Remington mfg ammo, is that it sucks. You get what you pay for!

  • @ElDub50 I don't think it's that hard.

  • @Rockit181 yeah, I played with one for awhile and it's no big deal. Had my local guy set one aside for me until I sell one of my seldom-used guns.

  • Cool, Can't wait to get one for me and my oldest son. Need those funds too.

  • I picked up a MK III late last year and love it, cost effective, fun and challenging, nice vid.

  • Nice. My 22/45 is at the factory right now. The trigger stopped working on me(I suspect the dumb mag safety linkage stopped working). Cant wait to get it back so I can afford to shoot guns again! lol

  • I need to get me a little .22 pistol. All day plinking for pennies. I really like those steel plates. Instant feedback.

  • @SnowLobo95 Yeah, instant feedback and no resetting!

  • My next purchase. Can't wait.

  • Those guns are fun to shoot. That looks like an interesting day for shooting. Ah that plink sound when the bullet hits steal. Nothing like it.

  • @gunsite308 Maybe, when budget allows. I think I'll try to get more accurate with the existing sights first.

  • @gunsite308 Thanks. I fought tooth and nail to get that thing disassembled and reassembled the other day. Man, what a workout.

  • my son has been bugging me, he wants this. I think its a good match to go with his Ruger 10/22 rifle. Fun and cheap to shoot.

  • @freakshow2000 Two recreational winners!

  • congrats on that xylophone player they are really nice I can't believe I haven't got one yet knowing how reliable and great plinkers they are hope you didn't get blown away..

  • @grizzlyglock1 xylophone player - LOL!

  • nice video like the sky

  • Those are some wicked looking clouds! I've got that same exact pistol. My only complaint is that it's a real bitch to get back together after taking it apart the first few times. I couldn't believe that the instructions call for a rubber mallet in order to field strip. Not a bad pistol though. Cool video.

  • Enjoy your new hand gun. I got one if these about 6 months ago and can't stop shooting it.

  • are you planning to do anything to the gun?

  • @ROOKvoice Not right now, but we'll see as I put more rounds downrange.

  • Enjoy it. Have had mine several yrs. and love it. Great accuracy.

  • With all that wind and still hit some targets, nice.

  • Great video. Nice shooting

  • love this gun just bought mine end of last year. nice shooting by the way!

  • 22s are a lot of fun, don't have the Ruger 22/45 heard a lot of good things about them. Just got a Sig 1911-22 a couple of days ago. Got about 40 rounds though it, 22s are sooo much cheaper the 45s. That wind out their is something else wow!

  • Friend of mine just got that exact pistol...great gun!

  • I have the mark 2 version & got it years before the mark 3 version came out. It's stainless & has a 51/2" bull barrel. It's in a couple of my older vids.

Congrats on the new gun, it's a solid piece. I recommend round nose ammo such as the CCI minimags or something comparable.

  • I just looked at one of those, but I have to wait until my restricted(handgun) license arrives. They take forever here in Canada to process it.

  • takes skill to shoot in a freakin tornado!

  • Nice !! And a good shot ..

  • Great pistol. I have almost the same model (barrel a bit different) and if I'm at the range, it's at the range. Hope that you find reassembly a little easier than I do.

  • Congrats bro..careful tho those CAN be addicting..I got mine last x-mas and it's become my favorite shooter..BTW throw a cheap red-dot on the included picatinny and have some fun!

  • Have the same one my friend, and I love it. It is by far my favorite pistol to shoot, deadly accurate

  • I had a Mk II years ago, And to this day don't know why I ever sold it.

  • AWESOME! It's always a good sign when your first shot with a new gun is a hit!

  • I love my Mark III Target you will have fun with it. I just hope it's easier to field strip than mine.

  • Nice! Love the tink, plink, clank, ding, of those steel targets!

  • Probably the greatest 22 pistol ever made. I love mine!

  • Congratulations on the new purchased. I got mine 2 months ago. and we have shot so many times. Fun little weapon not a single issue. Congrats again. Very addictive gun, we have 5 magazines total and of course the speed loader (which i highly recommend) Let me know when you want to go shooting.

  • Cool, those Rugers will last forever.

Good shooting with that wind !

Is that the model that you can use 1911 grips with?

  • @GunWebsites Thanks. Nope, I didn't spring for that one. So far I'm pretty happy with the molded-in grips though. Don't think I'll be changing anything.

  • nice

  • Did it ever jam on you bro?

  • @minicm122 I'm at 150-200 rds so far, and no jams yet.

  • @TheLateBoyScout kickass

  • Such a great gun. Very accurate, easy to use, all around classic.
