@strawberrycake75 Tape :) you can also use vaseline/chapstick and wipe it off after but I find that method too messy xx

@aneso100 As I said in the video, it's room temperature filtered water. And there's no special polish for it - some work and some don't. You just gotta try them out and see :)

@BeeHoliday1998 You don't have to. If you wanted the pattern downwards or sideways you could dip 2 or 3 nails in at once. I've recently discovered since making this video that a smaller cup helps to not waste polish too. I've been trying out lil shot glasses and they're great for polish saving :)

@hipppyyoyochik123 Not all polishes work you just have to try them all out, and make sure you use room temperature filtered water. I used China Glaze "Rainbow" and "Liquid Leather" - they work great xx

@funny10140 Oh I see. No I put the tape on before I start the water marble. It's easier to tape all five fingers at once.

And if the polish on the water dries too much then the design can come out with lumps, creases or bubbles in it.

As long as the polish on my nails is dry then the design will always stick :)

It's just regular tape yeah. I cover the tip of the finger under the nail and tape over the cuticle and sides. You can use vaseline or chapstick too and just wipe it off qith a cotton bud after, but I found that method a bit messy...

@GeLaDiSi It does take practice. I failed loads of times before I mastered it. Make sure you use room temperature filtered water and remember not all polishes work, it's a case of trial and error :) xx

I live in a hard water area, so it is RUBBISH for water marbling. My grandparents house has soft water though, which should work. Cant wait to go up there and try it.

Soft tap water might not be that great either. As I said in the video it works best with room temperature FILTERED water. So unless your grandparents have a filter in their taps it probably won't be much different.

It's best if you blow on the surface after you dip your finger so that it would be easier for you to get rid of the excess polish on the surface. :)

@Pinkpinkpinkgirl123 Some will work, some won't you'd just have to try them. Don't use a hi-gloss fast drying one. Best to use a slow drying, thin clear polish xx

@me1004 Awesome xD You cover the fingers with tape to protect them from getting messy when you dip them. If you put tape over the nail then the design would just come off when you remove the tape ;)

@TheCanihazacookie Once you've taped up the fingers it only takes about half an hour for both hands cos you gotta work quite fast. You could dip 2 fingers in at once to make it faster :) xx
