  • Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes. it is all unconstitutional.

  • It's Blasphemy Day. Where's our presidential endorsement?

  • Too bad this Gaylor douche doesn't understand that no matter what she and her inbred morons say we WILL ALWAYS have a National Prayer Day, PERIOD! And there isn't shit the stupid bitch can do about it.

  • @konakaine: You can have your National Prayer Day or your National Dance on Your Own Hat and Sing About Kittens Day for all anyone else cares - you just can't confiscate taxpayer money to make it happen.

  • Thank you Annie Laurie Gayor and FFRF for all your efforts to keep church and state separate. For those who want to pray--- pray all your want, day and night, every day-- but you don't need government to participate. NO to government day of prayer, NO to god on our money, NO to prayer invocations at government funtions.

  • You don't need a national holiday to pray. This isn't an attack on religion.

  • Yes, it is unconstitutional to open Congress sessions with a prayer and to have In God We Trust on our money.

I don't know what to say about Christmas, but take into consideration the fact that is has essentially become a secular holiday.

  • The better interview, "Is the U.S. a Christian Nation?" with Gaylor and Barton.

  • Lamar Smith, the answer to your ignorant question are, YES, YES, and YES!

And he is a person in charge of decision of our nation...disgusting! FUCKING DISGRACE!

  • WHY do Christians want to encourage prayer, when their scriptures state: Mark 6:5 And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, shut your door, pray to your Father ..in the secret place. 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do.

Are they embracing "hypocrisy" or declaring themselves "heathens"?

  • @ledotter51044: you mean Matthew 6:5-7 :)

  • @ledotter51044 No one said we had to stand out on the street corners. We can pray in our houses, churches, etc. We can pray anywhere. The National Day of Prayer doesn't delegate WHERE we pray.

  • Annie Laurie Gaylor tells it like it is. For more detail, read Judge Crabb's ruling.
