  • What is that camo for ? What´s it´s point ? what if you drop that thing in the forest? You will NEVER find it!. Really. Again: What is it for ? Just to look fashion ? If someone knows other reason, please, explain it. Thanks

  • the parachute line cutter works well for stripping cable outer insulation too

  • I just recieved the non camo version for my birthday, was a total surprise I am blown away with how cool this knife is, nice leather pouch, great knife.

  • Just got one of these very happy with it...EXCEPT - they put tamper proof hexalobular screw bits, this means you practically CANNOT take it apart to clean it, now wish i had of got a SOG multitool

  • @Musashii89 just get a fitting bit!

  • @Musashii89 You can get bits for it man. Quit whining. It's a great MT. It also has a 25 year warrenty. Send it in with a note saying "clean me"

  • are u serous thats so cheap here in australia that cost $299

  • @TheGoggles1 order it from america from knifeworks or other stores i got a wave for $70 postage is $35 but if you buy other knives or torches you spread that postage cost out.

  • Nice carry case.

  • for reference, this is called the charge tti seclusion 3d

  • hang on microtech's got the clip right for using it in the snow but its got a velcro back, won't that freeze up too?

  • Comment removed

  • I like how he disowns the other sheath because it has velcro for the closing option on the leatherman sheath, but the other one he picks up has velcro to attach it to his belt. I would rather have one that opens up the sheath then one that might fall off my belt.

  • Also, is there a small drill bit accessory for making woodland traps/tools?

  • Great review, thanx!! I always watch your videos before each firearm/tool purchase. I just ordered the charge tti; i was wondering how the scissors hold up against aluminum flashing. I wish they would do a nitride coated titanium scissor that I could use for fine work on half the blades and the inside half for heavier duty use. Thoughts?

  • do you have any videos showing how to grease up my TTi im getting a hard time opening the blades one handed.. or should i just lossen the screws?

  • The black oxide paint they use is what I belive is the problem because I have a black oxide wave n it's not as good as if I were to get the normal satin finish on it so I belive ur not the only one w/ that problem

  • 115 bucks is the price of the fuse here in norway. i hate norwigian prices!

  • All the features of this limited edition are now on the standard TTi. The original two TTi's were discontinued or replaced with the AL versions. I don't care for the crimper, would rather have full needle-nose. Don't really need the line hook either. If I want to get the non-crimp pliers I have to downgrade to the Charge AL or the Wave, and lose the S30V blade. Does that seem right to you?

  • @turbo311 And the included leather/nylon sheath isn't as fitting as the other plain leather or plain nylon sheaths. And there's no pouch for the included bit kit. >:(

  • I used my Charge TTI's serated knife blade to cut all the pex line when I installed an outdoor shower in my travel trailer. Worked awesome. Funny thing was, I found my actual pex cutter about 1/2 hour after I was done.

  • do a vid on all your knives

  • In my opinion: never buy kit in camo colours – you'll lose it! After dropping a camo Maglite I suddenly realised why 'Swiss Army Knives' are traditionally red!

  • @Will762 haha yea good point !!!

  • @Will762 yea you could put a bright color lanyards on your camo gears as well.. makes it bit more easier to spot

  • Is DuraCoat more durable / more scratch-resistant than Leatherman's factory-applies black oxide?

Forgive me if you've already addressed this question- I'm new to your channel.

    Have a good one!

  • Im a big hunter and just lookin at that serrated blade I think that the "rescue cutter" could double as a gut hook, just an idea

  • Hey is this a heavy duty mt

  • @uncoolkid2 technically its a medium duty...but they are very strong. i picked mine up from cabelas in wheeling about 2 years ago. the last time i was thier they still had one but wanted 160 bucks for it wich is waaaaaay to much in my opinion.

  • Nobody got reviews on the Damascus Wave?

  • hey there, nutnfancy! love your vids!

I am currently thinking, is it worth spending almost double for Charge TTi, or would you say Wave will do the thing? I mean, the main differences I see are the belt/cord slicer and the locking mechanism. is it really worth paying this much extra?

  • @Screamer1989 I believe it’s worth it. The major diff is the titanium handle scales (looks nice/ feels nice) and the S30V steel (higher quality) used in the main blade which raised the price tag... At the end of the day if you could live without those upgrades then go with what’s more affordable for you. Good luck!

    SD

  • @SD4FunOD forgot to include the blade bit. I've read few reviews and it says it's probably the best metal for blade. but the weight of the unit is (almost) the same. damn. I'm confused. But got some cash as a present so will go with TTi.

  • @Screamer1989 Good for you! You won't be dissapointed... I recently purchased my TTi and it has found a home on my belt as my first EDC MT. Check around and you may find a deal and don't rule out craigslist or backpage... I found mine on craigslist and it was cheap.

  • @SD4FunOD I've found a realtively good deal, but do not know if it's worth it. maybe a little advice? from the official website TTi with pouch, engraving, delivery and present( mini torch) comes to 135pounds. whereas I could get TTi from amazon for 99pounds(no engraving, or mini torch).

the reason for confuse is the following - I do not know what to engrave on it!!! any advice on phrases, or alike?

  • I just scored a Charge TTI via craigslist phx this morning for $80 cash! I love it already! Almost makes me wanna fix that leaky faucet on the honey-do list... Almost! LOL! Thanks for the awesome review Nutn. Hi Veri! :)

    SD

  • @SD4FunOD Haha..hi SD! Hubby got so excited about getting a Sig that he ALMOST worked on the deck! Your comment cracked me up! ;) -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy I would fix, sand, polish, wax, and whatever else needs to be done to that deck if ya bought me a Sig... LOL! Glad you got a laugh from my comment! Have a great day! :)

    SD

  • @nutnfancy What's with all that "veri" stuff? "Veri" means "blood" in Estonian =D

  • @SD4FunOD Where did you get it for 80$?

  • @sowi3t he said craigslist pheonix in his comment

  • @SD4FunOD i picked up a wave cheap 35 bucks almost new... bought but not used!

  • @themegajosh09 thats cool. have fun with it- the wave is a great MT!

  • you shold like leathermans facebook page they read all the posts there and they actulie cear

  • Your knife review always feature Limited Edition items. I like it.

  • alright I bought a leatherman free style to combine with my sak champion plus. I didnt like leatherman, but since i got it, dude! Its freeakin awesome

  • i just got the leatherman wave in black oxide and it looks freakin horrible... leatherman needs to do a better job on the blacking process

  • what is better tti or al

  • @salesspyder tti

  • @berryjs140 i asked that to try to decide what to get tti or al but i ended up getting tti and love it

  • Cool where can I get one

  • @andres51994 cabelas has on in wheeling west virginia...however they want an arm and a leg for it 160 bucks i think...maybe u could cal and see if u can score a deal.

  • Wow thats kool, I didnt know the Charge came in camo, is that real "mossy oak" or does it just look like it? You'r right, dessert digi camo would deffinatly sell well.

  • is the charge tti beter than the charge al and alx???

  • Got my ALX a few days ago. The black coating on mine (154cm) ... also very splotchy. I really don't care, like you said it will get worn with use anyway. But just a warning to anyone else that want's one to look cool. Stick with one in bright.

  • yea..vid made on my b day

  • I do have to say I emailed Leatherman at one point all blades on the outside including the Scissors on the inside are S30V

  • Good Critique. I think you should focus a bit more on the capabilities of the sheath itself. There are 4 pockets in it that you didnt even show. I now keep in mine 2 Bit Holders, Maglite solitaire, Bit Extension tool, Band Aids, Tweezers, and other small useful items. Check it out. Even the sheath is a useful item. Put everything together & you get a great survival tool in one small package

  • Does the Sheath you have come with the Leatherman?

  • Its a TAG pouch dude, it says so on the back, though to be fair Maxpedition Eagle BH they all do them,

Great review these are the best multi's ATM

  • The Gut hook in the real world is useless, it also reduces the role of the rescue blade as you now have a sharp edge on the flat side, You already have 2 edges to cut with, it is also weakens the tip. LM just put back on the old rescue blade. The jewlers driver bit, how often is this needed? far better to have a proper looped awl which is a far more usefull and mod the the other bit extender to take a smaller jeweler driver if needed.

If LM did these mods I think the Charge would be the best MT

  • @Johnny641 its not a true guthook...its is designed primarily as a 550 cord cutter i personally love it...it does a great job with the strings on hay bails. just my personal opinion though. i do agree it does need a awl...every mid to heavy duty should. and a jewelers driver has to stay. if a screw has ever come out of ur sunglasses(130 oaklies) its a pain in the ass not having it haha.

  • what if you drop that thing in the forest? Youll NEVER find it!

  • Good point....

  • lmao!!!!

i love it when he says "it wont be too long" and he always ...n i mean ALWAYS manage to run out of time XD lol kudos great reviews tho

  • Camo knifes are great. Drop that thing in the woods and it will disappear. How about a blaze orange handle?

  • hey dude, do you do your vids in a basement?

  • Desert Camo is ALWAYS a big eye turner in tactical gear of any kind langdon. And I think Nutnfancy knows what he's talking about. You are entitled to your opinion pal. But statistics and being a former LLBean product analyst speaks for itself. And Leatherman is very likely to listen to him and take his suggestions. Other manufacturers have. They send him stuff for his opinion. Frankly, I'd love to have the TTI in desert camo. I'm getting one in any case, just on his review and recommendation.

  • I don't get why he says desert camo would sell out. I think all camo on tools looks tacky and rediculous

  • I have had my TTi for two weeks. Took a ceramic stone to the drop point Titanium blade and used a leather strop to finish it off. Now the blade is so sharp I think I could perform a colostomy on myself if I needed to. However, one teeny tiny beef I have is that the straight edged blade wiggles around about 1/10th of a mm when open - just enough to bug me - whereas the serrated blade is as tight as a ticks ear when opened. It's not a side-side wiggle, but rather an up-down wiggle. Suggestions?

  • how is the charge different from the wave exactly.

  • well the Wave has a 440c steel blade, Charge has 154cm or S30v steel.

the Wave has stainless body, there is two types of Charges, the ALX has a aluminium body, the TTI has titanium body

basicly the Chage line has better materials

the Wave is still a great multitool, if you have a bit more cash you cant get better than the Charge

  • Nutnfancy reviews are the best hands down. Is the LMan Wave basically the same as this tool?

  • how much did it cost you

  • "I like the camo".... until I dropped it the first time and couldnt find it.

  • Its called a gut hook not a line cutter. Duh

  • oh well, who cares, it works doesn't it?

  • Indeed, and the gut hook was also meant for cutting seatbelts.

  • Sweeet! And I agree, an ACU Digital Charge would be awesome!

    5/5

  • Nice thing, but the blades look awfully long. Are they longer than the width of your hand?

  • 3'' blades

  • do you prefer the charge tti or the wave?

  • Leatherman tools are bullshit. All are made with very low quality manufacturing and control. I have some LM multitools, I compared to my victorinox multitools (swiss tool and swisstool spirit), Victor has very tidy design and accurate, which I believe was highly controlled manufacturing. OK, LM has good design, however human error and lack of control during assembly of the product may be the cause of very poor quality of final product on the market. Sorry to say that, but it is seriously true!

  • i think that the new scool LM-multitools are chineese made or somting?

because on none of the newer models says USA(made)

good vid tnx for the uploud,.

  • i got charge tti and i totally don't agree...

    i don't agree to that...

  • @gerysc This guy must work for Victorinox....

  • Is that a cord cutter or a gut hook?

  • thanks for the review..i'm probly gonna get the non limited edition...i'm bout to watch ur other leatherman reviews

  • hey nutnfancy, love the review, im wondering what your absoulute favorite fullsize leatherman is. thanks :)

  • I am also pointing out that the hook on the back of the serrated blade is actually made to cut seat belts as well.

Also for stevebarnes2, to sharpen your s30v blade you can just have it professionally sharpened.

  • Can you review a Winchester 14 in one multi tool?

  • Just curious, how would you go about sharpening the hook?

  • You can easily sharpen gut hooks and serrated blades using the Spyderco Sharpmaker.

  • Can anyone watching this help me out? I have one of these and it is fantastic however the S30V blade has become almost dull and the chefs steel i use on my Victorinox and other softer steel blades is compleatly unable to resharpen it. I wanted to check here if a diomond sharpener will do thh job 'cos a good one ain't cheap and i don't want to invest unnecessarly. Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

  • As I understand it, a steel does not actually remove metal, and as such, does not actually sharpen the blade, making a steel more for light touch ups. If your blade is almost dull it will be more work, as s30V is quite hard. A diamond stone would be my weapon of choice in your situation, however if you have an account on bladeforums, I suggest you ask the kind folk over there. There are people much more knowledgeable there.

  • A diamond sharpener should be used on S30V steel. I use a jewelstick that I bought on Ebay for about $20.

  • other than the camo, black blades, and sheath, is this the same tool as the charge tti sold on the leatherman website? if so, then i dont need the camo, im a geek not a hunter or outdoorsman, but i have a different multitool and it completely fails at most of what i need, besides half of the tools in the charge tti are very useful in my line of hobbies.

  • Oh that little sharpened thing on the can opener is a wirestripper...I didn't know that!

What I did to make my Charge ALX sheath better for winter conditions is I added a mil-spec snap to the flap so that I could still close it when it's frozen

  • To bad it's a Limited Edition, I totally want one and I'll second that digital camo version, I like the idea of not being Cabelas exclusive, make it nation wide and the thing will be sold out in days!

  • The titanium handles are a joke. They are only thin strips that you can flex with your hand and the rest of the handle is regular stainless steal.

  • Why do you hollow out your 550 cord for lanyards?

  • "Why do you hollow out your 550 cord for lanyards?" It's makes the lanyard lighter and more compact.

  • what should i buy first a leatherman charge tti or a rat cutlery rc3mil

    i want your opininion

  • That main blade is absolutly beautiful. also the serrated blade with the gut hook. just an outstanding knife.

  • nice review!

I've got the leatherman wave, also an outstanding tool, especially for its price!

  • yeah...thats why the Charge is more expensive

  • wish i could take my leatherman diving

  • I own the Charge but no S30V blade. That's okay because I use my mutli-tool blade as a "banger" blade anyway. My main knife I carry I use for basically all my knife needs but that S30V would be nice.

  • hello i have a cabelas multitool i found with a sheath it has a knife star screwdriver, saw, and sicors, and a light i need help its all green with yellow words that say cabelas i need help finding the name plz help

  • The camo is awesome but if you drop the tool or something its easier to see a silvery one on the ground. Awesome tool though!

  • i thought it was a gothook

  • MR NUTNFANCY, if you don't mind me asking; What is that, that you do your knife reviews on? Is it as counter?

  • Cool Mr Nutnfancy!

I got a Leatherman Surge (80$) love it.

But with that knife you are showing, it's alot better looking, smaller and lgihter, i like smaller and lighter to a point.

    How much was that knife?

  • sorry, I bought the last one =D

  • its on sale now for 79.88 at cabelas

  • If you want more bits for you leaherman, they sell a set of 40 bits for less that 20$

  • great..what is this version?...thi si not in the oficial page..thx

  • hey peoples. does anyone know where i can get some paracord in canada or shipped to canada. mainly the vancouver area

  • Ebay man 100 feet for under $15 with shipping

  • ok thanks

  • very nice tutorial

  • Leatherman would listen to input from anyone. Any good business would. Leatherman is there to make money and build their customer base, not be arrogant and make snide remarks.

  • You are retard...no doubt

  • i bet you didnt even know what his name was, u probs checked it on wikipedia, dip shit

  • does this one come with the pocket clip

  • Great review!!!

  • Is it worth the price?

  • o yes. it is. its a very nice knife

  • I got the Cabela's Charge Ti and the finish is just as splotchy on the 154cm blades, i actually thought i got a used one when I opened the box but then i examined the tools and blades and they r new it was just the finish.

  • I got this model today and I noticed that the blades are really sharp. Exercise extreme caution when handling this tool.

  • i have a nice small cabelas knife with a flashlight! =)

  • I have the regular titanium colored Charge. It is well worth the money.

  • Nice look. I had a black Leatherman, but the coating on the knife seems to rub off easily. Do you notice this over time?

Mine was so bad, it left a black residue on my hands. I returned it.

  • Damn I'm going to get this

  • that hook was probably ment to be a gut hook

  • yeah it is but i never thought of it as a way to cut thin rope so props

  • i've found that the wire stripper on the can opener also works well for striking ferocium rods if you lose the striker that comes with them. it beats dulling the blade.

  • Yeah it does serve that well... good point I forgot to mention. Thanks.

  • nice how much?

  • Awesome tool!!! I have one too!! :)

  • awesome knife i like with camo good review good use

    cordialy

  • haha you said wont be to long but it ended up to be 9mins but i love your vids and your not boring so it's ok

  • nice knife

  • Looks awesome man.
