@PSISpecter Not really. Cauz' recently he got a problem tu upload "sound" in some of his video, wich means we couldn't hear a single thing. So he took the OST of the game and use them instead of having a "semi" siently playthrough (he even does himself some pikmin sound. Funny as hell XD) But all this to say : yep, this tune was in those video ; ya can hear it VS the Man-At-Leg for the "military parade part'.
When I first got to the wistful wild, I only had around 20 purple pikmin. I got more, and was finally able to carry it back. I you have to get more you should go into the subterranean complex sublevel 8 and there you will find 2 or 3 purple flowers. I you try to go back to the emergence cave there probably won't be any because after a certain amount of time the purple flowers don't show up there anymore.

@TheNinwii ADVANCED CONTROL SCHEME? You better not mean it'll utilize Wii controls. I hate the Wii controls for Pikmin. I better be able to use the buttons on the WiiU controller to play the game.
nothing is confirmed but miyamoto said he thought Wii U was perfect for pikmin. i would guess the screen shows the map, how many pikmin there is, the captains status and treasure magnet. i think the touch screen will be used to throw, but nothing is said about it. i would guess the touch screen shows olimar from above and you touch where you want to throw and the shoulder buttons switch between commanding, calling and throwing. this is all guesses though

"I really did want to release Pikmin this year, as we've been working on the WiiU hardware we've been looking at those beautiful HD graphics and that fancy new controller. I'm getting more and more a feeling that we're going to see Pikmin appear on that hardware. So we're going to make it on that."
Word for word, that's what he said. That sounds pretty confirmed to me.
Let's hope for Pikmin 3 in the next 3 days of E3. As it was promised to be on the wii, and with Project Cafe coming out next year, it better be soon, or we'll never get it.

@TheMariomario8888 Wistful Wild is meant to be a sad lonesome place, look up its name: Wistful means Sad or Depressing thoughts, and Wild means a wilderness.

@rovert40 Think about it though, I think Nintendo may be at its wits end for PIKMIN. Believe me I want a PIKMIN 3 badly but there's kinda no way to make a story for it... We already have Olimar's return to Hocotate, then return to Distant Planet. Then we have him going back to Hocotate only to have to go back to Distant Planet. They've released 2 PIKMIN species that don't have an Onion. Even I, a story writer and Roleplayer, can't think of anything good to add to the already Perfect Storyline :)

@PauleyG315 That's... pretty deep. Now that I think about it, maybe an explanation on why the Titan Dweevil attacked Olimar is because It was related to the Emporer Bulblax from the first. Maybe a good freind, or maybe a reincarnation, but the latter is less likely. :P
@jpeanut97 That explanation definitely wouldn't fit in Pikmin. While nobody knows why the Titan Dweevil didn't attack Louie, (His mother says that bugs liked him when he was a kid) enemies in Pikmin aren't supposed to be villains that plot to attack the Pikmin and Olimar. They're supposed to simply be animals, just any old bug in the world that eats other bugs.
@BISlover544 Nope, it seriously is the Final Trial + the Impact Site. You wouldn't think so, but the final hole(Dream Den) is where the Dolphin's Main Engine was.
@BISlover544 The way I see it, either there was a freak earthquake, or the game designers did that with the first map on purpose to highlight the fact that it was the final area. Either way, there is a whole new stretch that you have to traverse before getting to the other.
@OathToOblivion Didn't the Pikmin wiki join NIWA? A lot of Nintendo wikis are breaking off wikia because of the ads and such. And the entry for the Armored Nut treasure says:
"I've never tasted a nut quite like this. It's difficult to explain, but it tastes like...sorrow. PS: I can't shake the feeling that I've been here before. Aha! This must be the exact spot where I crash-landed last time!"
But he makes no mention of the Final Trial, and the "Final Trial" area only vaguely matches the first.
@BISlover544 No, but if you go to the Wistful Wild's page, it shows that the map outlines for the Final Trial and The Impact Site match up with the map layout for it, save for where they overlap. Plus you land in the final boss arena... Wait, does that mean the armoued nut is found in the original landing site for the place?
@OathToOblivion I know, but the Final Trial area is drastically different, while the Impact Site area is relatively the same. The Final Trial gets no mention in the game, besides having a very vague representation in the Wistful Wild. Then again, a massive earthquake cold explain the sudden disappearance of the Forest Navel.
@BISlover544 Actually, now that I think about it, the reason the Final Trial isn't mentioned is because you don't even HAVE to go there to finish the first game. Olimar only needed the 25 required ship parts, and the part from the final trial isn't one of those. That means he could have just gotten the normal ending rather than the goo ending. On the other hand, doesn't he say something about encountering the Emperor Bulblax before.

@BISlover544 Oh... Wait, how would he know about the moss thing? All the Emperor Bulblaxes in Pikmin 2 are in the caves. The only one ever encountered in canon with moss is the one from Pikmin 1.
So that in canon, he must have gotten the good ending. Yet, he still makes no note of the Final Trial, besides an obscure allusion to the Emperor Bulblax.
I'm all confused now. Pikmin is too damn complicated for 2 games.

On the other hand, his wife says that she found his secret stash and journal in one of the mails so he probably... did... get... the...good ending..........Yeah, now you made me confused even more.

@OathToOblivion Who knows? By the way, do you think the Pikmin planet is a snapshot of what could be an apocalyptic Earth? Considering Olimar's size though, I think it's just someone's backyard or a park.
Personally, the Forest Navel was my least favorite areas in all the Pikmin games. It was very maze like, and the sheer number of bridges and puzzles was annoying. And the GODDAMN WOLLYWOGS!
@BISlover544 Yeah... I like the fact that we've gone from discussing the Wistful Wild to hating on Wollywogs. Although, I do agree, I hate those stupid frogs. Just yesterday, I was playing NPC! Pikmin, and I had about 90 blues in the Distant Spring fighting a Wollywog. Stupid thing killed off 20 despite the fact that almost 100 were holding it down. I'm just glad that Wollywogs' crushing site isn't as large in Pikmin 2. In response to the backyard thing though, I'm not entirely sure.
@OathToOblivion I actually don't lose that many to Yellow Wollywogs. In the Forest Navel though, their power, combined with fiery blowhogs was...annoying, to say the least. (think I lost about 14 to the wollywog and 50 or so to the blowhog)
I've found that when killing wollywogs, DO NOT SWARM. Throw about 5-10 reds or blues from a safe distance. Call them off when it begins to drop, then repeat. If you throw too many, they'll land beneath it when it jumps and the wollywog will land on them.
@OathToOblivion It was my first time playing, and I didn't know what fire exactly did. It was also my first time using blues. The only thing that matters is that they're all dead now.
So how long, on average, do you take to beat the first game now?
@OathToOblivion It took me the full 30 days on my first try, mostly because I was having too much fun to realize I was very behind. Nowadays it takes me 14 days, but I'm trying to do thirteen.
Have you seen that Pikmin 9 day run on Youtube? That guy is INSANE. He does it with 50 pikmin too. And no deaths, of course.
@BISlover544 I haven't, but I think that is insane. You'd have to plan for the Crushing Glitch and everything. And then there's the infamous 8-day Pikmin 2 run. By the Way, what do you think Pikmin 3's story is?

Just my crazy mind going here, but...let's say the President of Hocotate Freight is dying from a strange disease contracted on the Pikmin Planet. With a short analysis, the ship determines that it can make an antidote, but it needs several ingredients found on the planet (held by bosses). Hmm...that may make a good fanfic.

@PauleyG315 That's... pretty deep. Now that I think about it, maybe an explanation on why the Titan Dweevil attacked Olimar is because It was related to the Emporer Bulblax from the first. Maybe a good freind, or maybe a reincarnation, but the latter is less likely. :P

@jpeanut97 That explanation definitely wouldn't fit in Pikmin. While nobody knows why the Titan Dweevil didn't attack Louie, (His mother says that bugs liked him when he was a kid) enemies in Pikmin aren't supposed to be villains that plot to attack the Pikmin and Olimar. They're supposed to simply be animals, just any old bug in the world that eats other bugs.

@PTp1ranha It's just fan speculation. Some of Olimar's notes mention "this was where I left the Pikmin planet the first time", i think.

@BISlover544 Nope, it seriously is the Final Trial + the Impact Site. You wouldn't think so, but the final hole(Dream Den) is where the Dolphin's Main Engine was.

@BISlover544 The way I see it, either there was a freak earthquake, or the game designers did that with the first map on purpose to highlight the fact that it was the final area. Either way, there is a whole new stretch that you have to traverse before getting to the other.

@OathToOblivion Didn't the Pikmin wiki join NIWA? A lot of Nintendo wikis are breaking off wikia because of the ads and such. And the entry for the Armored Nut treasure says:
"I've never tasted a nut quite like this. It's difficult to explain, but it tastes like...sorrow. PS: I can't shake the feeling that I've been here before. Aha! This must be the exact spot where I crash-landed last time!"
But he makes no mention of the Final Trial, and the "Final Trial" area only vaguely matches the first.

@BISlover544 No, but if you go to the Wistful Wild's page, it shows that the map outlines for the Final Trial and The Impact Site match up with the map layout for it, save for where they overlap. Plus you land in the final boss arena... Wait, does that mean the armoued nut is found in the original landing site for the place?

@OathToOblivion I know, but the Final Trial area is drastically different, while the Impact Site area is relatively the same. The Final Trial gets no mention in the game, besides having a very vague representation in the Wistful Wild. Then again, a massive earthquake cold explain the sudden disappearance of the Forest Navel.

@BISlover544 Actually, now that I think about it, the reason the Final Trial isn't mentioned is because you don't even HAVE to go there to finish the first game. Olimar only needed the 25 required ship parts, and the part from the final trial isn't one of those. That means he could have just gotten the normal ending rather than the goo ending. On the other hand, doesn't he say something about encountering the Emperor Bulblax before.

@BISlover544 Oh... Wait, how would he know about the moss thing? All the Emperor Bulblaxes in Pikmin 2 are in the caves. The only one ever encountered in canon with moss is the one from Pikmin 1.

I'm all confused now. Pikmin is too damn complicated for 2 games.

On the other hand, his wife says that she found his secret stash and journal in one of the mails so he probably... did... get... the...good ending..........Yeah, now you made me confused even more.

@OathToOblivion Who knows? By the way, do you think the Pikmin planet is a snapshot of what could be an apocalyptic Earth? Considering Olimar's size though, I think it's just someone's backyard or a park.
Personally, the Forest Navel was my least favorite areas in all the Pikmin games. It was very maze like, and the sheer number of bridges and puzzles was annoying. And the GODDAMN WOLLYWOGS!

@BISlover544 Yeah... I like the fact that we've gone from discussing the Wistful Wild to hating on Wollywogs. Although, I do agree, I hate those stupid frogs. Just yesterday, I was playing NPC! Pikmin, and I had about 90 blues in the Distant Spring fighting a Wollywog. Stupid thing killed off 20 despite the fact that almost 100 were holding it down. I'm just glad that Wollywogs' crushing site isn't as large in Pikmin 2. In response to the backyard thing though, I'm not entirely sure.

@OathToOblivion I actually don't lose that many to Yellow Wollywogs. In the Forest Navel though, their power, combined with fiery blowhogs was...annoying, to say the least. (think I lost about 14 to the wollywog and 50 or so to the blowhog)
I've found that when killing wollywogs, DO NOT SWARM. Throw about 5-10 reds or blues from a safe distance. Call them off when it begins to drop, then repeat. If you throw too many, they'll land beneath it when it jumps and the wollywog will land on them.

@OathToOblivion It took me the full 30 days on my first try, mostly because I was having too much fun to realize I was very behind. Nowadays it takes me 14 days, but I'm trying to do thirteen.
Have you seen that Pikmin 9 day run on Youtube? That guy is INSANE. He does it with 50 pikmin too. And no deaths, of course.

@OathToOblivion Honestly, I have no imagination, so....eh. But if I had to think, the first game was about survival. The second was about money. What if you combined them?
Just my crazy mind going here, but...let's say the President of Hocotate Freight is dying from a strange disease contracted on the Pikmin Planet. With a short analysis, the ship determines that it can make an antidote, but it needs several ingredients found on the planet (held by bosses). Hmm...that may make a good fanfic.
