The fire department is supposed to turn off the alarm. During a building alarm activation, you confirm building evacuated, and call the fire department so they confirm a fire or not.

Yesterday when we went off in the school fire alarm because construction workers were working on renovations with a Bunsen burner!

Actually, school officials CANNOT legally silence an alarm or instruct anyone to do it. Alarm silencing has to be done by the fire department. Just because the alarm has nuisance tripped doesn't mean you can just go silencing it.

At my elementary school, we get an "unexpected" fire alarm. It doesn't happen very often. I keep thinking it might be a drill or real. I get scared when the fire alarms are "unexpected"

Every fire drill we've had was a "real" alarm, but in reality, it's just a faulty EST3VE Panel, but the building is being torn down and rebuilt, they said I could have the panel if they plan to switch it out.

Yeah that beeping is a radionics alarm. Probably the security system that is used for dialing out. I heard you tried to turn it off but you need to hit enter if you enter a code. Codes on those are 6 digits (at least the one at my work is) and then you have to hit enter/yes.

@int3ll3r0n it depends on what triggered the alarm if it was a say a faulty smoke detector or pull station the panel will not allow the reset until the problem is fixed and usually that requires that the faulty device be at least disabled until it can be fixed.
