  • Magnifique, sublime ! Un vrai plaisir pour les oreilles !

  • Monsieur, c'est vraiment magnifique. Croyez moi.

  • @MrNeuschwanstein Merci mille fois! :-)

  • Bravo! Magnifico! I agree with one of the earlier comments - this should get more views. Love the music and the execution - it just get better and more beautiful as you listen to it. I see the passion in the facial expression. I find it enthralling as it gave flash backs of good ol' summer memories! Thank you for sharing. Hey ! I'll buy your CD if you have one!

  • Beautiful beautiful stuff!

Also, I loved you as Bernard in LOST :)

  • @DaFuente Thanks. Never seen LOST, btw... :-)

  • I like this a lot

  • This is absolutely beautiful. Perfect soundtrack for finals.

  • Maravilha cara! P a r a b e n s !!!

  • This should get more views!

    It's great!

  • How utterly lovely. I was mesmerised. Thank you.

I loved the look of pleasure on your face when you finished-me too!

    Jane

  • Thanks for the kind words - it's hard to ruin such a beautiful tune! :-)

  • A beautiful song and a beautiful rendition.

  • Beautifully done -- you are certainly outstanding and its a REAL pleasure to listen to. As well that is a pretty fancy looking tenor guitar?

  • Thanks for your kind comments on this and other pieces. Glad you liked them. The tenor guitar is a little beauty, specially made for me by a local luthier and good friend. :-)

  • I am still strugglin with this one, I can only remember until the modulation to A...so many changes.

  • Very relaxing. Its nice to hear a tenor guitar

  • I've been transcribing the first bars where the melody matches the Franch lyrics. Now I need to understand how the chord progression matches with the melody.

    Thanks Will.

  • Lovely. Is it tuned GDAE or CGDA?

  • It's CGDA - like a viola, a 5th below a violin. :-)

  • I liked the chord progression. Where did you find the music?

  • I bought the sheet music (Raoul Breton publ.) from a French digital music site called Musique En Ligne - cost about €4.60. well worth it! :-)

  • Bravo, Will.

    You are a musician's musician.

  • fine as always.

    Cheers

    Michael

  • That ,Wil,l is beautiful song with a beautiful arragement

Thanks a lot for that, I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoy listening to it

  • Hi James - it's a tune I've loved since I first heard it as a small boy in the late 40s. I could play it for ever - but would probably bore everyone to death! I've tried to make the tenor guitar sing like a voice here, because I can't sing like Charles Trenet... :-)

  • great stuff

  • That was beautiful. And a nice song to try to learn from you this weekend.

  • I don't have tab for this (I have the original sheet music), but I can send you the chords, if you like. Send me a YT message with your email address. :-)

  • Thank you very much. I wanted to try to get the chords by ear but that would take me ages at the level I am.

I'll send you the YT message.

    Cheers.
