  • wow, strong power and fast speed, great...!!

  • love that old school stuff. wish nanquan today would be more like that.

  • nan quan will always be my favourite martial art in terms of aesthetics.

No other style is this delightfully violent.

  • wow, this is the first time ive seen nan quan done well because many people think that "oh southern style is all arms you dont need to try because anyone can punch and wave" and it really pisses me

  • last guy is awesome but it kinda looks like long arm or fist whatever

  • full strenght, full power, full nanquan!!

  • Don't be blinded by your hate of this performance art.

  • the last dude was the best

  • Show us your video. You might be better than the pros!

  • it was a joke dude

  • My bad, I get defensive. It's like someone looking at a Picasso or a Pollack and saying I can just throw paint on a canvas and wallah! Didn't mean to be mean. See ya!

  • You cannot do that.

  • wow. so cool

  • thats interesting that your school teachs this old nanquan routines..They're just beautiful.

  • whoa....we are learning that routine right now. the first like, 30 seconds are exactly what we learned

  • BEAUTIFUL!! 5/5

  • the best is to start at the same point and ends at around that area. it is always at one corner of the floor.

it is also a standard Sea Games Rountine.

marks are given for aggression, the movement, and strength. Hand shows tiger, crane... it is a more complicated and longer rountine.

it is easy for the knee to get injured as you have to twist and land on the ground.. the back flip is using stomach and back muscles, don't need to use hand to push themselves up.

    bring back memories... :)

  • when i was a teenager i learn this nanquan routine...took about a year and i performed before.

it was very tiring, not easy at all. it was like running a 100 m dash...LOL.

  • this is relevant all right ! :-) good vid on nanquan

  • nan quan shouts arent like those O.o

nice form. it remebers me the xing gi tom bei.

  • People like him jump higher than people in the NBA. LMAO! I'd like to see if they can dunk. I bet they can!

    Nice video.

  • true. But those dudes are 6'10". He is 5'5"

  • i learned this!!!

    it really tiring though...

    lol

  • awesome stuff.

  • Also i hear that city Guangdong is mentioned as where he was from.

Could u upload the instructional video of nanquan basic movements from yang shi wen if u have it.

  • you mean the province Guangdong. guangzhou is the capital.

  • form of the north is called Changquan...(long fist)

about this video...i think yang shi wen is in it too right? he's the last performer except he's wearing another costume this time. Normally he wears black/red but in this video he is wearing black/yellow

well i think its him coz the guy has the same speed and hairstyle like yang shi wen had.

    maybe twinbrother :P

  • it's not him :P

    he's way more handsome :D

no but the style is indeed like him, cuz also a guang dong member?

  • i think i caught "guang dong, Liang Shi Yao" or soemthing, tho i can't attest to the name. Def. different person. I think as teammates they develop similar styles and choregraphy.

  • make that "Liang/Yie Shi You" haha... i hope i'm close. he's my fave in this two video set. :)...

  • The form of the nort is called ???

  • man its like he's on wushucrack he's so fast and energetic..awesome.
