very nice, the techniques are certainly kenpo but your movement and structure show your roots . rounded joints and a lowered strong center with excellent use of the hips. in many ways a return to hawaiian kenpos roots , not a departure by any means.
Thanks, Yeah, my foundation is in Karate and Aikido, but this video was taken later when I was studying Hawaiian Kenpo. So its all mixing together for this lttle demo for friends. I've always been interested in Hapkido, Supposedly a nice mixture of Hard and re-directional like combining Karate and Aikido.
Yeah, Mike is the best Uqie I've ever had the pleasure of training with. His background is in Aiki-jujitsu, so he can absorb and flow with just about any attack. Its hard to find an uqie with a good balance of realistic strikes, resistance, and knowing when to respect your strikes.
I like it, very solid Kenpo

I love Aikido but with my build,I am a pure striker. I wish I could move all graceful like those Aikidoka guys though.

a mix of typical kenpo overkill and restraint, nice work.

we have a saying in kenpo "It's not overkill it's overskill"
