If you want to keep using the messenger 8.5 or older versions just go to msnmsgr.exe right click, properties, compatibility and select compatibility with windows 2000, accept and problem solved. (of course close the program before doing this).

When i tryed to log in older version of Windows live messenger i get a message that i need to upgrade it to newest one. They pushed me and pushed to do it and i needed to upgrade it to fckng newest one. And what happened? I get worst version of messenger i could imagine. I think you have to do something with the Registry as well. You look around Youtube to find the Tutorial (a really Step by Step one) and follow the instructions.

I installed the latest one 5 months ago and in that very same day, I get back my old one back just because I want to use StuffPlug. If they give StuffPlug for the latest MSN, then I won't mind upgrading again. If not, it is forget it for me.
