Zednik ROCKS!! He is a class act, both on the ice and off. And I don't give a rat's ass how many times he says "you know." I'm just glad he's here and going to be fine. Anybody who wants to hear perfect elocution should go listen to James Earl Jones recite the Gettysburg Address, not an interview with a foreign-born athlete. How petty

everyone is bitching about how many times he says "you know". Just be glad he can say it, and also, aside from english as a second language, he's prob nervous to be in front of the media. I don't think Zed has ever been in front of that much press, and he's a humble guy. Glad he's ok.

you know, I am glad he is alright, you know, but it is really distracting during interviews, you know, when someone interjects "you know" into every sentence", you know. You know, there were also a bunch of "like I said", you know, and "uh", you know.

English is his second language, and most people who learn the language say "you know" a lot because they don't know if they are saying the corrects things...given that..he needs to learn not to say that every three seconds

In fact,I know a lot of people whose first language IS English and they say "you know" a lot as well.

Either way, lets concentrate on what he said and how he's doing than decipher how he speaks :) .

It amazes me what people will focus on under the circumstances. Some people dont like speaking in the limelight his "you know" could be a nervous reaction...it cant be an easy situation to speak about especially with how new it is. Although I feel that 99% of professional athletes are highly over paid, I am extremely happy that Richard seems to have made a full recovery in the wake of such a horrific event. Bring in the neck guards!!
