From my understanding, the release of this came in the wake of payola investigations that affected Philadelphia International founders/producers Gamble & Huff - and the label was to a degree adversely affected by the fallout from those investigations.
Lord knows I'm very grateful that I have a job, but anybody who's workin' should feel me right about now... It's time to get it crack-a-lackin' !!
