  • I'm thinking on buying this guitar..i still don't know whether the Epiphone Dot or the Sheraton II... I would appreciate if anyone knows if there's much of a difference between them.

  • Love this guitar but I can't understand why the fret markers stop at the 15th fret.

  • AMAZING!! :D

  • Sacré beau style Gregor, et il sonne votre Vibrolux bravo !

  • No teddy bears were harmed during this video.

  • I wish epiphone made this particular model in a ES339 version. The appointments on this guitar are really nice. I used have this model, and it really sounds very nice without doing much of anything to it,other than a set-up.

  • Doesn't it kinda remind you of the law and order music?

  • is that a loop pedal how much does it cost

  • the name of this type of music. It's one of my favorites

  • I have one with Gibson 57 pickups in it, and it is amazing! This is one of the few guitars that will expose one's weaknesses with playing! That is why I haven't posted a demo of me playing my Sheraton II (yet!) %p

  • @monkymonk6 what do you mean that it will expose one's weakness with playing?

  • wow, that tone is incredible! stock pickups?

  • i got this one wine color is the best :D

  • excellent, super good.

  • @fasionroadkill lol me too! But to make it completely his, take off the pick guard ;)

  • This guy gets the best clean tonne!!!!!!!

Must be the teddy bear mic holder :)

  • i love my Sheraton. best 500 bucks ive ever spent on a guitar. its the poor mans 335. here's the secret: swap out the pickups for some Lollar Imperials, put in 500k pots and new electronics, and you've got a killer guitar.

  • this was enough to MAKE me go go buy one of these beautiful guitars, so thank you Greg ! Mine is the Gibson/Epiphone type & its a dream to play.................

  • wow this has alex lifeson written all over it. I must have it :D

    Dear Santa...

  • the windows error sound in about 2:05 says 'ERROR too good playing, please stop and teach me!!!'

  • sick ghostnote on 2:05!! wow! and it sounds EXACTLY like the windows error sound! =P

    GREAT PLAYING=)

  • i mean this guy can play.. nice guitar also.. and the boss looper is great i got one too.. and i hot an epi dot.. great for the price just 220€ used..

  • I always ask myself, does this dude only knows that boring scale?

  • @Macsk8ing Maybee he likes it so much...He's a great guitarist and I'm pretty sure he can play others If he want to. ;)

  • I love mine, get one!

  • le hiciste alguna modificacion de microfonos a la guitarra ?

  • Beautiful guitar and great playing. I enjoyed that, thanks.

  • Lets see save up for 5 years for a Gibson ES-339, or buy thing next year...obviously this.

  • how old is the epiphone?

  • I love how the bear on the floor is your mic stand xD totally awesome!

  • ich weiß nich... die casino oder die sheraton 2... es sind beide so verlockend :D

  • Sheraton II > all? I think so...

  • how does this compare to the epiphone casino?

  • @blownspeakersss it doesn't, this is way better

  • Aural bliss for 2.35!

  • how do these compare to the actual gibson es-335?

  • Hey, dont know if someone already asked, but I wanted to know how you set the eletronics on the guitar(more or less) to obtain this kind of sound. Thank you

    p.s.awesome solo :D

  • Rhythm + Solo in one :D

  • Please, answer me :D

Does this guitar weighs heavy, as it says in differents sites.

  • you've got the Midas touch my friend

  • so much better than watching "shredding" which i've never got! superb!

  • Gregor du solltest mal wieder in Reitwein aufschlagen :D

  • Are these pickups the original ones? I'm really considering this guitar

  • What are the chords?

  • trully beautiful....

  • beautiful guitar...great player. what more is there to ask for?

  • Definition for a guitar

  • reminds me of Robben Ford, taste , touch and tone.

  • Just snagged one of these @ Guitar Center, needs a bit of TLC, but am impressed with the workmanship on the guitar. Nice guitar run!

  • Hi guys, I have a problem.

The input jack on my sheraton II somehow fell in to the body of the guitar, any help on how I should fix it?

  • @MrBadAssBoy123 you got to snake it out. then use snap ring pliers to hold it and put the nut back on.

  • Nice! I have this guitar, you've just inspired me to get some better sound out of it :)

  • My most versatile guitar. Stock pups. Sweet cleans and great for overdriven blues. And did I mention comfy to play?

  • did you replace the pickguard?

  • I had the same guitar that this gentleman is playing. Unfortunately,I traded for a Fender Am.Spec. Strat, needless to say I was quite disappointed. I mean I know they are different animals, but I thought of the Fender thing. Boy was I mistaking. This guitar sounds wonderful with a little adjusting,I was able to coax many different sounds from it reminiscent of the 335,but at a fraction of the cost. The Seymour Duncan Seth Lover p/u's would be the best alternative to the stock p/u's

  • 2:02 microsoft windows sound

  • By the way, mine is arctic white and I also fitted her with a nice golden Bigsby. Now she could even attempt to rival a White Falcon ...oh, who am I kidding

  • WANT!!

  • Is it just me, or is this solo amazing?

  • @LondonKuzz Haha, it's not just you man. That solo is pretty amazing.

  • @LondonKuzz It isn't just you

  • just you i dont like thins kind of solos @LondonKuzz

  • What you would suggest me an Epiphone Dot or an Epiphone Sheraton 2 ?

By the way you are an awesome player man, you can make that Sheraton sound awesome.

  • @zoumero1 Get the Sheraton no doubt about it. It's the last I got and my 7th guitar, it becomes a damn obsession and you never stop getting more when you get a chance lol

  • @zoumero1 I"ve looked at both in the shops. The Sheraton is definitely the nicer guitar, but the differences are primarily cosmetic. The pickups, body-shape, and construction are identical on both. Neck profile on both is like a thickish '59. Fit and finish on the Sheraton is much nicer. F-holes on 335 Dot are ragged, on the Sheraton they are nicely bound. The one drawback is that all the neck binding makes the Sheraton a little more neck-heavy than the Dot. Sheraton is $100+ more

  • @danakerman Thanks for all the information man. :) i have read most of them online but after I tried both of them a couple of days ago, i came to the conclusion that Sheraton has a better tone in my opinion. it is what i was looking for.

  • just bought it, cant wait for it to get here

  • sweet sounds

  • Three words:

    MY.

    NEXT.

    GUITAR.

  • @EuphoriaMusicSession

    Seven Words:

Put some P90's on this bad boy

I did this and swapped out all the electronics and put Gibson P94's in there too. Really beats any guitar out there for the price. Rivals that of a Gibson 335 too

  • @RoryAstenBell I did the same thing... and boy does she sing... and scream... sometimes ;)

  • @EuphoriaMusicSession They're awesome guitars!

Got myself a pair of P-rails set in them, lovely (:

  • @EuphoriaMusicSession tru that

  • @EuphoriaMusicSession indeed!!

  • @EuphoriaMusicSession im getting for christmas from santa u see im 11

  • @pokejom luckeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @KungFuYoung808 lol jealous?

  • sweet i want one

  • Nice sounding guitar.

  • Been looking at one of these for 2 years now. I'm thinking I may just have to pick one up.

  • Hey Greg. Why is the pickguard od this guitar different to the other sheratons? Is this a Limited Edition?

  • @tatoavilez Hope it's okay i answer this one :) MY guess is that it's just a regular gibson pick-guard he fitted instead of the original one. I've got one myself and the the original pick-guard is probably the biggest turn-off on this guitar, so that might be the reason he changed it.

  • I swear, this guy's tone has got to be my favorite of all time. How does he even do it? There's so much personality. It's so fluid. You can tell its coming from his fingers and not his equipment, though his equipment does play a role.

  • @ARVNpistola313 Tone is in your head first and foremost. Your fingers are just doin' what your mind says.

  • @tonestar100

Thanks. Basically, everything comes from the head.

  • @ARVNpistola313 I hope you don't think I was trying to be a smart-ass. I really wasn't. I was one of those who swore, "hey man - tone is in your fingers." To my surprise I found that really wasn't true. You had it right on the money when you said, "There's so much personality." That's from inside too.

  • @tonestar100

Hahas no. I was just reinterpreting what you said and you are right. A lot of people play guitar with their hands rather than with their brains. They hands remember a bunch of licks through muscle memory but when it comes time to improvise licks, brainpower is required.

  • Why are the controls a mile away from your hands?

  • put 12s on and this is the best value on the planet.

  • have you changed the pick guard ? most of the models ive seen have the E symbol on the pick guard but this one dose not ?

  • hola,en tu opinion que guitarra es mejor washburn hb 35 o esta?Saludos.

  • Sweet Teddy Bear~

  • is it a MIK?

  • Hi Greg, nice solo, which scale do you use at 1:36?

  • @JakobsMovieTutorials

The stickers always come off on Epiphone guitars. They're consistent! lol

  • YAY I HAVE THIS ONE TOO :D IT'S AWESOME

  • If anyone considers buying this or has bought it and is considering better pickups buy a pair of Gibson p94's. They really do this guitar so much justice. I bought new electronics, pots and gave it a whole new revamp. It sounds phenomenal through my Vox Amp

  • does it has the same sound with an epiphone casino

  • @MyDreamside No. The pickups are completely different. The Sheraton II has humbuckers and the Casino has P90s.

  • @MyDreamside

The Casino is a Hollowbody and the Sheraton II is a Semi-Hollow Body.

  • whats the difference between Sheraton and Sheraton II?

  • @Anitrop The Sheraton had a Frequensator tailpiece, and the Sheraton II has a Tune-O-Matic/Stopbar combination. That's the only real, distinguishable difference.

  • 2:05 , The computer error sound was right on time! Good playin', good sounding axe!

  • @Ferrellmusic

    Lol

  • nice guitar dude,,very nice tone

  • This continues to be one of my favourite 2 and a half minutes on youtube!

  • Greg, Sista approves of Your playin' in fact She's decided that the best place for Her to listen is directly in front of the monitor. If she could talk She'd ask if You're a fan of Robben Ford? It just ended and She's goin' back to the wood stove.

  • Hi Gregor!

Please post a video with Epiphone sheraton 2 with drive playing.Im very curious how it sounds.

    Thanks.

    Pier Noshi.

  • nice job!!

  • nice job!!

  • So enjoyed listening to this brew of ingenuity and soul... what amazing tones and feel you have.

  • damn thats bluesy

  • If James Taylor were a guitar, he'd be the Epiphone Sheraton! Such a beautiful sound.

  • what pedal effect???

  • First, what a dreamy groove you have there, Gregor--sounds like 2:00 in the morning in NYC. Wow!

I played a blonde Sheraton II at the music store earlier this week and I'm in love. It blows the Epi Dot away imo. A beautiful take on the 335 design.

  • Should i get Epiphone Sheraton 2 or epiphone es 175

  • @Bthepilot

    Yes.

  • Guess what, i got myself one of this today

  • Awsome guitar just one question, Does it stay in tune well? And what about intonation? I got the epiphone Tony Iommi SG and the tuning goes out relatively quick, The intonation isnt bad but not perfect..

  • Im getting my sheriton today!!!!

  • I enjoy your videos Greg. Excellent musicianship and of course VERY nice guitars displayed :)

  • bien, bien, bien joue' !! une voix douce avec un peu de "edge."

  • 2:05 I thought there was something wrong with my computer xD

  • nice riff :)

  • Hey do you think this guitar may work with rock music???

  • @Pukk95 Look up Silversun Pickups. Brian Aubert uses one of these sweet rides. And he rocks it. Besides, Gibson Humbuckers = Rock.

  • what color is this???

  • @stevenelliify Tobacco burst?

  • Which moderately Epiphone jazz box to like best?

  • this video & your playing inspirde me to go out and buy my first guitar, an epiphone les paul standard in ebony black, thanks greg

  • bends sounded slightly flat but

    your pick attack was beautiful

  • nice sound man

  • I used to own this guitar, and I think that this is a good alternative to an ES335.It really sound good with the stock p/u's,and not to mention that its an actual beautiful guitar for around 700 bucks with a case. like all guitars you need to work with it to coax good sounds from it. On a scale of 1-10,I'd give it a 8.5

  • question: Why is your pickguard black? did you replace it? isn't the pickguard on a sheraton kind brown, red-ish?

  • @yojoe71 it looks like it's been changed. good, this pickguard looks so much nicer than the original.

  • @yojoe71 I think he put a Black 335 pickguard on it. The original is brown/black marble with the Epiphone "E" on it.

  • these stock epiphone bridge pickups souds bad doesn't it? i gotta change mine

  • So can this (and even the Epiphone Dot) achieve good saturated lead tones too? Like Joe Bonamassa/Eric Johnson style tones?

  • Is the Gibson better or is the Epi just different? I dont think you could improve too much on the tone here. It's lovely

  • @genericgeorge it probably wouldn't be the tone, more the ease of play i'm guessing.

i would like to listen to a comparison as well though!

  • cool pickguard. I dont like my original one either. Thanks for the idea.

  • are the stock pickups good?

  • fantastic!! and i love this guitar :-)

  • is that pickguard from a 335 gibson??

  • @kitano123 nah it comes with it. I think he just took the sticker off. I got iit today in the natural finish.. its beautiful

  • Beautiful... 2:05 - Windows complaining about the good playing lol.

  • Beautiful... 2:06 - Windows complaining about the good playing lol.

  • Beautiful.

  • I'm sorely tempted to buy one of those things. Was thinking of an ES335 but don't want to go in to my bank manager on my hands and knees. It seems like a reasonable substitute for about a quarter of the money.

One question thought wehat is the difference between the Sheraton I and the Sheraton II?

  • Comment removed

  • how much does this retail for?

  • Luckiest teddy-bear ever.

  • Sounds nice !

  • would it be fair to say the Sheraton is a nice substitute for someone who can't afford a 335 or 355?

great playing btw! i'm always disappointed when your vids start and they're clean, since i'd like to hear the guitar being dug into a little more, but by the middle of the vids i don't care because the playing is so good. haha

  • Is this made in China?

  • Did you replace the pick guard with one from an ES model?

  • @ererye

perhaps this will satisfy you if you're fed up with blues and jazz players

    watch?v=nvwnNSnMXBc

  • The headstocks are killer!! Big guitar, big headstock! It looks balanced, no?

  • This would be such a sweet guitar if it wasn't for that absolutely disgusting headstock. And that goes for basically all of the rest of the Epiphone range.

And it's such a shame too

  • ha lol love the teddy bear

  • how do you keep your guitar so clean???? mine are covered in dust even though I play on em every day!

  • someone else have experienced troubles from switching to this 335 style shape guitars i used 2 play strats then i bought 1 broadway and 1 sheraton II and the problems in my right arm begun. it seems there isn't a comfortable way to hold tehes guitars except the 1 shown in this video. everytime i increased the time i play it it does me some harm.

i customized by the way with both gibson vintage 57' classic and i realised the tone have loud output and better clarity .

  • What do you keep your amp's eq at mostly?

  • @GregsGuitars is this as good as the gibsons???
