Try scheduling a visit with a breeder, or with a reputable pet store (one that works with good breeders, not puppy mills - ask around about this). Give her a chance to get to know them in a controlled environment. We have friends who claim they don't like dogs, but they love Sophie and Max, and I'm sure there are plenty of Papillon owners who have similar stories :)

Do you find that Red Papillons grow less ear fringe compared to ones with black in them?

I've only had red Papillons, so I can't say for sure. Sophie's hair didn't grow very long, and it actually got a little curly. Max's hair is longer, but he's so small, any length will look long on him. You may be correct, but I would check with a breeder to confirm.

he is so cute i have got one called poppy and she is full grow and she weight 2kg lol smallest dog in the world lol but yours is still cute

Max is now 7-1/2 months and he just reached 4 lb, which I guess is about 1.5kg. He'll probably grow another 1-1/2 pounds before he's fully grown. So I imagine Poppy and Max will be about the same size fully grown. Post a video when you get a chance :)

Nice video!....we had 3 paps, but sadly one passed this year...we have had 4 in total. They are not common here in Spain....Thanks for the effort in posting this....we both enjoyed.....

If I'm not mistaken, Papillons originated in Spain and were brought over to France in the 1500s. The Papillon is technically a small Spaniel. I might be wrong, but I recall reading this in a book about Papillons. Thanks for you comment!

Not a chance! Max is five months old and a hair under 3 pounds...and Sophie (the 14 pounder) knows it ;)

She plays nice, but she runs the house!
