Is that IR scope really nerfed? I'm on PS3 and after the recent patch I tried using the IR in metro and that pretty much made me not use it anymore. It took around 2-3 seconds for the image to even focus and then it was alot brighter than before and way harder to see, it looked nothing like the one you're using in the video. I might have to try using it again on another map to see if there's a difference.

@nipstar the initial brightness blast seems to be bigger on ps3. The fog afterwards I can deal with, but with the initial blindness the IR scope days are over for me too. Maybe that's good :) I prefer colors.

When you have a shitty TV you can barely even see the building around you with the IR scope after it has been updated due to the patch. For me they should have just nerfed it I switched all my guns over to Holo or 3.4 zoom sights.

reducing the blast radius will not really do much. If they really want to fix the problem they should add a minimum arm range. For anyone who doesn't know what that means, it means that the rocket will not explode until it flies a certain distance.

Can someone tell me wtf happened to the IR Scope on PS3? It's utterly completely useless now. They might as well should just remove it from the game since it can't be used outdoors, hell I can't even use it that well in Metro in the tunnels, which was supposed to be it's primary use.

Anyways, I think the rpg is pretty much perfect as is.

It IS a rocket launcher, and it's not amazing against infantry, it's only a insta kill maybe 50% of the time.

I feel any explosion radius reduction or otherwise would just make it feel too weak.

And whatever happened to unlocking scopes for the rocket launchers after a certain amount of kills? Wasn't that supposed to be a feature?

@Jabberwockxeno Engineers are anti-vehicle NOT anti-infantry so having rockets be effective against infantry is just ridiculous. They had the same problem in BFBC2 where people where using rockets as their main weapon and it got patched so I see this being patched eventually.

Just please don't fall to using that often, RPG is nothing new. I've seen it before and it does not require much of a skill to spam rockets when you know where they are. Of course you can have fun at times but it tends to get boring that way, no challenge and it is irritating when you get killed by that tactic or any RPG spammage, that is just the most annoying one because it is easier to spot enemies before switching to RPG

The IRNV will be nerfed on Tues the 6th. There's a video of what it'll be nerfed to from the PS3, it's actually gonna be pretty significant as it's a drastic reduction in distance you can see, and just drops off to a foggy background you cant see through.
