Hugs to you for helping John the Mailman. Checkout the video called Not a Monster Truck. Those people stayed in their warm home, watched and laughed. Very rude they were. You are very sweet people. Keep up the good work.
I got my LLV stuck a week ago trying to get over an ice patch the regular told me was no problem (Obviously I'm a T6). Called my supervisor, took him 45 minutes to work it out and get the truck rolling. Bottom line, I was told I should have no problem completing an 8 hour day.
you got it stuck, you get it out. ( words right out a supervisiors mouth!) plus it gave those good ole boys something to do. so rules dont apply here. afterall, if postal employees lost their jobs for failing miserably or simply not following the rules? almost overnight we'd have no more management. That is a FACT!
your fatal flaw on anything management helping you out is that it takes away from either their nap time or their games of minesweeper. they don't care if it is snowing 100" just get it done in 8.
Our office doesn't have one anymore. They eliminated that job when the guy retired. Now we have to call the supervisor. I wonder if this guy is in the same predicament.
In that case the supervisor calls the local tow company who comes out and pulls you out. Do not do it yourself! You (or anyone else helping you) get hurt...you lose your job for not following safety procedures.
Ive been stuck on snow/ice so many times in the llv's, 1 and a half tons and the two tons. They all are horrible in the snow. Time for USPS to invest in a fleet of front-wheel drive vehicles.
OK, there are just SOOOOO many things wrong here... What the hell is an LLV doing front end first in a private driveway... there's a reason for all those boring training videos you slept through doofus. Love the part where people are standing behind the LLV while the engine's on... jeeezus!
They should have FFV's like we do!

Short wheelbase, rear wheel drive, LLV's are absolute crap in winter conditions.

Those LLV's are pieces of crap anyway. I drove one on a rural route for 11 years.

Stupid letter carrier. He's supposed to wait for the VMF to come out and get the truck out. That's the VMF's job
