it did change.. look up oldschool 80's and 90's grindcore stuff and all of the sudden in the past few years it seems like evryone is trying to simplify it and i know why.. most people are really fast with one and and not so good with the other.. so instead of practicing endurence and going over your rudiments they just decide to simplify it and it seems whenever metal stuff gets simplified punk bands use it..
