I don´t know if the USA financed Pol Pot, but Nixon did help the Khmer Rouge into power. He bombed Cambodia almost out of existance, and for no reason at all. Someone who worked with him admited he was drunk when he ordered the bombing. I don´t remember who. Kissinger, I think.
