Apple - iLife '11 - iMovie '11 (Guided Tour + New Features + Demo)

Hey guys. Erm, I having a problem. I'm new to mac, but i'm picking it up pretty quick. In iMovie, when I import my videos from my iPhone 4s , the videos do not fill the screen in iMovie? I have messed around with all he aspect ratio options, literally nothing. The videos just don't fill the screen, what is going wrong?

iMovie fucking sucks now, its funny how the 6 year old version is better than the brand new one. god damn it now it won't even let me download iMovie HD. And I can't fucking open my iMovie now anyways because it says I need an older version. WTF

@level99fisher if you really need that answered, you need more answers about Mac than the difference. I will help. iLife is a suite of applications that includes iMovie and other applications. check out apple.com for more info. Also there are forums better than youtube for the information.

@ohhsamanthaaa as in like can you stream record on it like a webcam? no. iMovie is a video editing software. use photobooth or other webcam program to record yourself and then edit in iMovie

@ohhsamanthaaa unlike what "polarbear" says you can use your camera like a webcam but you'll need firewire (you can't use usb). that's where the trouble really comes in, most cameras don't have firewire unless it's tape based.

it really annoys me how "easy" imovie is to use. its just asking everyone to put up their crappy movies to youtube, and spits in the face of people using Final Cut or Vegas 9.

I have a question though, can you record your audio along with a music track in iMovie 11? because in iMovie 09, it doesn't let me record and play the song at the same time, you can only add the in the song later, n im playing along to the song so..hopefully you know what i mean, but can you help ?
