  • is he ok????

  • @buggy990 Read Description. Its sad

  • omg i'm so sorry. this is gonna make me cry. poor guy. i'm glad he's out of pain at least.

  • My cat, Leo, was just diagnosed with diabetes but the insulin after a few days made him go into diabetic shock, causing two seizures (so far). Last night at 3 am was a much more violent even than this, but that wide look (part of a "post-ictal" state and should be expected) was going on. Still working on right dosing. Going to try our best. Leo looks like your Chester. So sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to go through. I have epilepsy, so I know how seizures feel too.

  • @asilartist If ever he has a seizure, get some honey or corn syrup and apply it to his gums. What dosage did the Vet start your cat on? Mine was just diagnosed 2 days ago with Diabetes and 2 units every 12 hours after he's eating seems to be fine. He hasn't had a hypoglycemic shock or seizure... but he's had a pee-while-he-slept accident. Hopefully we'll both get our med-doses right.

  • @FoxBatinaHat Yes, that is what I did immediately. It worked. His insulin, being a very large built cat was 4 units 2x/day originally. After the big seizure, I took him off the insulin, and the next day the vet lowered his dose to 2 units 2x/day (we usually do every 12 hours). I have found that feeding him small amounts of food (less than a TBSP even) many times in the day is helpful for him to regulate his blood sugar. He returns Monday for another blood glucose check.

  • @asilartist I got a glucometre for about 50$ and I'm doing tests 2 hours after he eats but I haven't tested him before he eats yet. He's still very high and I think the vet will probably increase his insulin dosage to what yours was (4 units), but he's at least not at 37.5mmol like he used to be (still a very high 29.6mmol). Hopefully we can both get our cats to get to respectful levels.

  • It happened to my cat it's fine now but can u see the Xbox lol

  • I just learned my sister's cat had a seizure today. She saw the whole thing and was panicked when we met her at the vets. They vet is keeping her kitty overnight, we should find out in the morning. I decided to watch one of these movies with cats have seizures, but I feel even more aweful that she had to go through it. Sorry for you're loss.

  • I don't see how you can get bad comments on this. I had adopted this cat from a friend when she was over 1 month old. I still have her almost a year later. I noticed she sneezes and has these instances of what seem like it could be a seizure. I have limited money for anything medical, so I really needed to know what they look like so I can know exactly what I need to make priority in case a vet is needed. This doesn't seem to be it but I will look up more cat seizure videos. Thanks for posting!

  • Just watching this makes me cry. Poor baby

  • why do you live in darkness

  • My cat has had 2 seizures past 2 months. I witnessed the second one. This happened when i was givin him food and suddenly his head started to twitch. At first i tough i was touching his whiskers, but suddenly he had full on seizure. Don't get me wrong, but i hope he sleeps away and because i dont want to take him to the vet (to be put down) since he's scared of the container/car and i dont want that to be the last memory. He's been my loved pet past 20 years, from the day i was born till today.

  • the poor cat shows signs of stroke.. eyes is a tell tale sign...

  • Very sad my cat had the seizure to once about every three months and they put him on fenababtial<I know I didnt spell that right and he had one today so he is at the vet and they think it might be a tumor..So good luck I know what you are going through!!!!

  • this is so sad. :((

  • Thanks so much for posting. It is really helpful. I have a CH kitty who has been having a seizure like thing happening. Not sure what it is. Not the same as Chester's. But having these videos helps me find a way to describe it to the vet and hopefully figure out what is up.

  • What did the doctor say?😱

  • clean your damn house and vacuum your carpet... he probably ate your 10 year old food crumbs.

  • a good cure for this is to give it a shot of whisky and then punch it in the gut.

  • Aw poor boy. I'm sorry for your loss. My cat Tiggi had a horrible stroke about 5 1/2 years ago, followed by days of unconsciousness, blindness and seizures. We fed her water and diluted food while she was unconscious (she could still swallow) and hand fed her for months until she learned to eat again. She had to learn how to walk all over again, and I taught her to climb stairs.

Search "Tiggi feels the love" to see her now :)

  • Don't Touch a cat when there having a Seizure, it will only cause more harm

  • @TehLiquid it's okay if you touch them, as long as you don't restrict there movement.

  • Aww /:

  • :( these videos make me wanna cry. Mine got his seizure from eating chocolate, thats how it started, he was acting like your cat. they put him on a Valium drip, and he is still alive today (this was over a year 1/2 ago). Vets fucking suck btw. I had 2 vet offices HANG UP on me when I told them I had no money, I finally had one say just bring him in, and they were regretful to set up a payment plan, but the only ones that would let me. We couldn't figure it out at first, a video would have helped

  • <:(

  • I never would have though that animals could have seizures let alone diseases like humans. Sorry about your loss

  • Read the description... *sniffle*

  • how old was he

  • poor baby....I saw this and imagined it was my cat I almost started to cry.

  • Also, it might have been a seizure, but then again he was sitting in an assload of electrical wires, so what's to say that he wasn't being electrocuted?

  • @yinjara Why are you raging? I was only stating an observation that I was suggesting could have happened because I wasn't there to actually know for sure. -_-

Maybe you need to decide your appropriate response before commenting because I wasn't even trying to be rude with my comment.

Way to jump too much into conclusion.

  • "He's chaking". -_-

    No buddy, it's pronounced, "Shaking".

  • so sorry for your loss. I'm sure he was a great cat. rest in peace Chester.

  • watching this video made me cry becausei am such a cat lover, i am very sorry for your loss, i no how you feel as i hav lot 8 cats throughout the years and it just tore me to shreads

  • i am sorry for your lost

  • Omg I'm prayin my rag dolls never get this. Does this happen due to at? Can someone enlighten me about aging cats and diseases they get? My kittens are 1 years old

  • I have a cat that had seizures for a long time before I got them under control. Some was really bad where she used the bathroom on herself. The vet wanted me to put her down, Another vet suggested meds. She is now seizure free for over a 1 and half now. I felt so sorry for this poor cat because they didn't know what to do with him and they just put him in his carrier right after the seizure and all they want is affection from their owner afterwards. They need to feel secure.

  • Thank you for recording this. It will help those who having similiar situations with their cat.

    :) Jonathan xx

  • Only disliked the video for the fact I watched a dying cat in pain. ;(

  • What was Chester diagnosed with? I have a kitty (She) her name is Chester too, and she has Vestibular Syndrome...I almost thought she was gonna die last month...she has had a few episodes where she couldn't walk, but now circle walks, she is improving Thank God. Did Your Chester ever have other problems similar to this prior to that sad day?

  • That meow is so sad..it's like a call for help.

  • my cat just had a seizure in front of my mother & died right on the spot. i came to youtube to see if there were similarities between our cat & other cases. no matter what anyone says, this video was extremely helpful & i sincerely thank you for posting it. this gives me peace of mind after having lost our pet family member...

  • Awwwwww poor Chester

  • Awwwwww I poor Chester :'(

  • God bless you for showing this video. People need to know. It's nothing wrong with trying to document this on video for the vet. A lot of times, we see things and then the pet doesn't duplicate it at the vet and then you look crazy. God rest your cat's soul. This is what happened to my cat Sasha. He fought til the end.

  • if a cat is that fuckin sick, go old yeller on em. most will do it for dogs hell, sum would do it for humans. u people put pets on too high up knowing they'll die in a decade or so. pets are best used to make kids learn about responsibility and death.

  • My cat, Loco, had what I think was a seizure yesterday. It wasn't anything like this tho. She looked like she was fixing to bathe then she just fell over on her side. Her legs drew into her body and her feet were twitching. Her eyes were wide and looking around I could tell she was scared. It lasted about 30 secs and hasn't happened again since. I'm trying to decide if I need to take her to the vet tomorrow.

  • My heart is breaking to see this; I'm so sorry that you lost him.

  • my cat is doing this today i left my cat alone but i did say my prays for him and by his side but he didnt look like your cat he did the same thing

  • @Michael321990 If you want to save your child from polio, you can pray or you can inoculate.

  • Im so sorry your cat died, ours is very ill at the moment from a similar thing and now the seizures are getting really bad, possibly hyperthyroid or a brain tumor but uncertain as so far the meds have made her vomit badly. She has seizure type episodes like at the start of your video but she doesnt have the full on violent shaking its just she goes very rigid and her legs twist etc and she cant walk but afterwards she is okay, im praying the medications work because i cant live without her

  • I hate when people put cruel comments on videos like this. They were getting him ready to take to the vet, and they were documenting what was happening which was helpful in making a diagnosis. These people loved their pet. There was nothing the owners could have done for this cat than what they did do. I lost my cat to a seizure a little more than a week ago. I felt helpless....he died on the way to the after hours clinic. People, please do not be quick to judge. Sorry for your loss. :(

  • :,( while i was at my dads house my cat at my moms had a seizure...i wasnt sure how it looked so i wanted to see for myself...i cant beleive my cat had one....i hope he is going to be fine!

  • Thank you for doing such a hard thing. This video contains excellent footage, and I will remember this if one of my kitties ever has something like this. I hope you have a new furball of love now!

  • my aunt just lost her cat and my sister was on the phone when my aunt said he had a seizure. When my aunt said he died she was about to breakdown crying. she had to tell her 5 year old he went to kitty heaven

  • thats mest up

  • my cat is a diabettic and his blood sugar was 34, me and my mom rushed him to animal emergecy, i held deeda in my arms as the cat was dying and open mouth breathing we got him to the vet and he had a gran maul seizure and the doctors gave him sucrose and his blood sugar rose to 356. he was temporarlily blind, which scared me. but hes now doing great. this all happened at 3am , he peed on the floor to tell us something was wrong!

  • awwwwwwwwwww so cute

  • YOUR A FUCKING ASSWHOLE

  • awww poor cat i hope he rips you must be so sad:(

  • Awwwhhh :,( noooo

  • Wow, that exact same thing happened to my cat today. Scared the shite out of me. Lasted about 15 seconds and showed the same reaction for 10 minutes after.

Took him right over to the vet. Complete check up. Doctor says he's fine and will prescribe meds if it happens again.

Good luck with your kitty. Hope he's fine.

  • LOL, same thing happaned to my cat yesterday, so in the mourning today, we went straight to the vet and he died.

    :''(

  • Awwww I cried!!

  • Poor kitty :(

  • great now i wont be able to sleep for weeks. How old was chester when u let him go?? did he have any symptoms before this happened at any time?? (asking in case i should look out for signs in case my cats ever get it) sorry for your loss. its heart breaking to see him like this and know he died only 8 hours later.

  • @ducrozet74 honey read the description =(

  • why didnt someone turn the lights on?

  • So sorry :(

  • I am so very, very sorry for your loss! I know how you feel; it is absolutely heart wrenching to loose an animal. Animals can be some of the best friends a person can truly have. They are not simply pets, no, they are much, much more. They are indeed family, and such a loss is truly so deeply devastating. I lost my best friend when I was fifteen years of age, and I was heartbroken! She was such a lovely, lovely cat. Such a beautiful, loving soul was she, and oh, how I still miss her so!!!

  • Awwwwwwww. :(

  • My cat does that she is old and doesn't have long but she will live maybe 4 years longer.... Poor Chester. He's in good hand

    <3 MzTv1

  • You have my sympathy. I had a dog with epilepsy, who had grand-mal seizures like your poor little cat---intermittently for five years. You did the right thing. Bless your cat's Soul.

  • Poor little guy. Don't beat yourself up about it, at least Chester isn't in any pain anymore.

  • gdamnit made me cry :(

  • omg so sorry for your lost i know it must been hard on you... rip little chester

  • Im sorry I no how it feels to lose a pet it sucks ass lol :(

  • That was a focal seizure that seemed to progress to a generalized seizure. You can tell by the way his whole body moved symmetrically as his paws came up.

  • Poor kitty T_T

  • If you speak very softly to them when they have seizures it helps them a lot. step back and give them positive reinforcement.

  • It sounds like it's crying...

  • So sorry about your kitty. Poor Chester RIP

  • poor kitty

  • I am a veterinary technician at a feline clinic and I really do commend you for getting the cat in to the ER hospital. I deal with calls like that on a regular basis and people are not always willing to spend the $ on a sick pet. Chester definately looks old and as cats age it's important they have a yearly checkup. He appears thin and my guess would be hyperthyroidism and that probably had something to do with the "blinking" issue. I am very sorry for your loss losing a pet is never easy

  • When a cat has a seizure they begin to thrash about, drool, and they also become temporarily blind. This is why chesters eyes looked the way they did. So when they begin to come out of it, it's best just to leave the animal alone. But in this case, if chesters blood sugar was low, he won't stop seizuring and it would get worse from there. Before this happened chester would have been laying there shaking, but most likely wasn't noticeable at the time. Just figure I'd explain a bit better.

  • Hey, I know this video is rather old. But seeing his reaction, I think Chester was suffering from diabetes. From what I've witnessed with a cat who was confirmed to have diabetes, Chesters sugar dropped too low, which caused him to have a seizure. Eventually without help he would had gone into a coma, and then died. Taken him to the vet was a good thing. I'm sorry he passed. You have my sympathy. But keep an eye out for symptoms like these in the future. Especially if you have an older cat.

  • well that image is stuck in my head now! thats the most disturbing thing ever :(

  • You remind me of my friend Jake Butler, he's protective over his cat, too.

  • the cat is broken.

  • Get well chester :)

  • I almost cried D: Poor kitty. I'm sorry your cat was sick. :3

  • aww this is such a shame, this happend to our cat last night :( So distressing to watch :/

  • Oh my gosh this is so sad when he was crying. :( I'm so sorry about what happened. I can't even imagine if that happened to my cat. How old was he?

  • "Edit: Chester died Thursday afternoon, roughly 8 hours after this video was taken. His chances were terrible, and he was blind, it was the best option. I feel terrible."

I am SO sorry for both of you - what a beautiful cat Chester was!

My cat looks just like yours, and he's lying next to my feet right now. If this happened to him, I'd be devastated, too. My sympathies!

  • @joeyc5446 what the fuck.... haha... you are laughing at a cat who is having a seziure and died the next day, you are a sick fuck... i hate people like you!

  • chester easy

  • Comment removed

  • @tokinace, If I ever meet you or find out where you live, I will do exactly the same to you what you apparently did to someones cat, you sick little excuse for a human being!!

    And

@lazer59882, I wish I was there when someone close to you(if you have anyone you fucking waste of oxygen) is at thir final moments, just so that I can see the look in your eyes when Their final breath leaves their body, You fucking little shit!!

  • I laughed at the part when Chester started freaking out. And the part where I read Chester died and was blind. I killed a cat once too I tied it up, broke its legs then I droned it lol best feeling of my life.

  • @tokinace In a way i try not to be an ass hole, but i got a cat for my wife and he had a seizure at 1 am, as i stit here looking at the comments and see yours.... I hope something you love dearly get messed up, post the video, and see just how heartless and insensitive your comment really was.

  • @3colt3 You forgot the part when I DON'T GIVE A FUCKING SHIT. I HOPE YOUR WIFE HAS A SEIZURE NEXT YOU FUCKING QUEER. Thank you for making my day a little better! :P

  • @tokinace not to butt in, but how exactly is he queer if he has a wife? or did you mean it in the way that he is strange?

  • @ajtwista92 Marriage does not determine sexuality. A faggot is a faggot even if that faggot has a wife and kids. He's still a faggot you fucking faggot.

  • My cat keeps having seizures (once every two months or so). I think its the crap manufactures put in cat food

  • lol wait it did die. fuck yeah

  • is it dead? i hope so

  • Oh my god.. that poor thing. I remember watching my cat have a seizure; she was 18 years old and only a month or so later, she died. But that was because she had kidney failure, so..

I'm so sorry to hear about Chester - he was such an adorable kitty. I was actually crying a bit when I heard him meow.

  • That's what my dog looked like when she had a sezuire. We had to put her down a few months ago. :/ I miss her.

Now my cat is having twitches and im wondering what it is. Dear god, don't let me watch another one of my animals have a sezuire.

  • What really gets me is the sad meows at the end. Just because that was his last few hours on earth. Im so sorry.

  • MBILF im sorry your cat had to die. :(

  • @AlexJonesphones LOL damn I was keeping it together until I read your comment *dies laughing* xDD

  • Wait he was blind? But he looked like he was staring right at you guys.

  • Oh I feel so bad for you, my eyes are tearing such a adorable cat and such a big loss.....RIP:Chester Ps: I dont know your cat but im always sad for those who have a deceased animal

  • Vets actually encourage their masters to take a video when an episode occurs. The video allows the vet to get a first-hand observation, allowing a more precise and informed diagnosis.

The other option relies on the owner to watch carefully for eye movement, pupil dilation, body/muscle twitching and breathing pattern. Also, for how long the episode lasted.

Flash lights btw, do not cause seizures. Not unless there's a pattern which triggers the brain.n

  • I'm sorry for your loss. It's always difficult to see your pet suffer like that. The video isn't a bad idea to show the vet, a lot of times owners have difficulty describing this kind of event. :(

  • Your a dick, for one that flash light bull shit you pulled caused that to happen. You shouldn't have animals

  • you should have put him to sleep not let him die from it :(

  • world and that jehova loves you and she looked at me right in the eyes im gonna miss her she was only like 3/4 of a foot long

  • i put my cat to sleep yesterday at 8pm i feel so bad i cried her out with my mom a lot and she was like 10 months old i guess she had brunt these thing from her dad idk her brother died as well and she was going to be saved they where just saying she might have not been able to get saved and be normal again and because of that mom didnt want to pay 4000$ or so so we paid like 500 to put her to sleep i feel so terrible man life sucks and i got my last words with her i told her see u in the new

  • wow,I'm not a fan of cats but that's really f*cked up.I hope I don't have to make that trip with my dog.You get any new animals?

  • My cat does the same thing, but once a year. It still freaks me out!

  • Marty passed today! :(. Took him in and dr said he had kidney failure and hyperthyroidism and the seizure was too much, his body was shutting down. Poor sweet Martin we will miss you!!!! :(

  • Wow, I'm so sorry! I'm going through the same type thing. We had our white cat Marty at the vet over the weekend getting hydrated and as soon as I got him in the kitchen door he started having a seizure. Kicking laying on his side, I called the vet back and they told me put put him somewhere comfortable and it would take about 1/2 hr for him to recover. Well it's the next day and Marty is limp as a noodle. I called the vet and she's out till tomorrow. I'm keeping him hydrated with an eye

  • I am sorry for your loss. My cat did almost the exact same thing just about an hour ago.

She jumped up from a sound sleep and thrashed through the room and into the walls, then she just stopped and convulsed with horrific screams. She threw up something that was like mucous or clear thick fluid and choked. She did almost exactly what your cat did. Now she is spent and looking scared. Did your cat have other signs before this final time?

  • omg this made me cry :(

  • omg thats sad...sorry about your cat passing away..

  • you have very little common sense you should have taken him the second he started shaking but the important thing is you did, great!

  • dude sorry you had to go through that i totally understand why you took the vids. I'm a dog person but i like animals period.

  • You are very lucky to have been able to comfort him. When my old girl died any amount of stimulation was setting her into a new seizure. I was petting her when she went into one I have scars all over the top of my hand from where she latched on between the thumb and for fingers. Had to pry her jaws open to get my hand back. The worst was her reaction when she was done having the seizure she had the most pitiful look, as though she had a cognitive memory of being latched doing it.

  • pooooorr kittty i almsot cried wen he started to meow :(

  • @JesusChristRulesYOU

Get the fuck out and go die in a hole.

  • Comment removed

  • Did you get a rabies shot? Because you said he is biting. My cat acted like that and it turned out she just had a infected splinter. PS: Sorry for your cat. so sad.. :( PS again: Dont thumbs up its to sad D:

  • @PPASecretAccount The biting is a symptoms of a grand-mal seizure. Most people/animals make a biting appearance, the body is just going out of wack.

  • Did you get a rabies shot? Because you said he is biting. My cat acted like that and it turned out she just had a infected splinter. PS: Is the cat OK D:

  • Did you get a rabies shot? Because you said he is biting

  • i don't mean to bring up bad memories but could you please tell me what diabeetus is and what the warning sings are? my sister has two cats and if they ever act with the symptoms i want to be able to warn her. P.S. that is so sad. our rabbit chester died a few years ago due to old age. our cat orion (still happy and healthy, you can see an old vid of him at my channel.) was really sad, he went in the cage and sat next to chester after he passed on, it was terrible. RIP chester and chester.

  • Thank you-

I know this is little solace but my cat had an episode earlier this evening and thanks to your video I can firmly tell the vet it was not a seizure. I am sorry for your loss-

    Rebekkah

  • :( so sad. rip chester!

  • :( omg so sad, it even made me even sadder when he kept meowing :(

    i kind of teared :(

  • not gonna lie...i shed afew tears there:/

  • sorry to see that chester died. i was looking online for cat seizures based on what happened last night to be my cat. thank you for sharing as this does help.

  • stop filming your cat and help him!!

  • @crumbsonplate read the description you loser,

  • @crumbsonplate Read the description! He WAS trying to help him! the vid was for the vet - and posted on youtube to help others as well.

  • My heart goes out to you. I have a benign brain tumor that causes seizures...no fun. I fhe is frothing at the mouth it could also be rabies.

  • I think my cat may have had a seizure. We don't know how he died but right before he died he walked out of the bathroom that he had been in for 3 days (before he was just staying in the corner barely eating or drinking) and then he stretched out all of his limps (not a normal stretch, he stayed like that for a few minutes) and started throwing up some black/green stuff and for a little while he was just laying and coughing occasionally and throwing up more

  • sorry about ur cat. very sad! all da best buddy

  • :-(

  • My cat bailey died the day after having multiple seizures. Like your cat, he went blind hours later and the next day he died from having a brain tumor in the back of his eye down to his nose. :( I know how you feel, its so awful. i miss him

  • @vintagex0grl

:( omg so sad, im so sorry... :(

  • :'(

  • That was so sad:( My cat is also having seizures (I think). I'm sorry your cat died :(

  • poor kitty

  • Oh no...I'm so sorry.....That must have been awful to see.

I know you tried your best, you had no idea what was happening, but you eventually got him to an emergency vet, good for you.

  • @suhari12 Fuck you, read the description you son of a bitch.

  • @suhari12 you are a cunt-face

  • haha
