@SuperWarmonkey no it is not. if it was it would be really boring in my opinion. Lets say you drive from Stockholm to Paris, it would take days to complete your trip. I do not think you want to drive that long in a game ;-)

I've know idea why i ended up watching this but it really annoys me that there are trucking simulators, Sailing simulators, Demolition simulators Flying Simulators yet there are not driving simulators. (not counting racing games). Id like to get in an awesome Ferrari and drive through some epic coastal roads in Italy. The only dedicated driving simulator ive seen is "driving simulator 2011" and its shit. guess ill have to stick to pottering around on GTA4 :( anyone know of a good driving sim???

@darthbandon10 Thats a racing game isnt it? like Gran turismo but open plan. I think my comment was regarding how they cant make a simulator as good as Microsoft flight sim but for normal driving yet if you want dive a truck its somehow different. all ive seen to that degree is "driving simulator 2011" and the mere sight of it enrages me >= /. Surly there should be a dedicated driving (Not racing) simulator for someone who wants to drive exotic cars (normaly) down twisty mountain roads.

I find the best game for that is GTA4 but the cars aren't real ones and you cant change gear and NPC's just crash into you for no reason. You think that there's a market for a proper driving simulator?

@MrDenniski It's not a pure "simulator" but the cars are ordinary production ones. Oahu's pretty big too, for a pacific island anyway.

I just thought that if they can have Euro Truck simulator with all the major roads in Europe modelled to such a high standard how much harder would it be to create 10 or 20 cars models and repackage the game as a driving sim? Ive got a feeling its the younger gamers who just want to race everything.

@MrDenniski There's not a lot of money to go around and publishers like to get a big return on their investment, which means targeting the most consumers possible. Not likely to give us a game that's purely about driving on recreated roads.

I got myself a Logitech Momo , and would like to play the game with it , but i can't ;s. Some1 help pl0x,when i run the game,enter options i set at keyboarrd onnly to to Keyboard + Loigitech Momo Usb(there is no Log Mom Usb only),and when about to set the commands,i can set things that use buttons , but i cant set steering with the wheel or throttle with pedals,only buttons :S >.<!

@mkmarko95 Keyboard + Loigitech Momo Usb this is ok it should show up like this. what you need to do click on the wheel axis and it will ask you to turn the wheel and click on the accelerator and it will ask you to press accelerator pedal and finally click on the brake and it will ask you the press on the brake pedal. This should set your wheel.

Hehe, in my town, an 18 wheeler occasionaly comes by, and the streets are really tiny, and the vehicle always has to turn at a really tiny intersection. It's fun to watch. It's 10 minutes of him going back, then forward.
