A very talented young lady...and without a doubt, she is covering the Sting version, not the Sting version. The only problem with it, is that she was singing at a faster tempo than she could handle...she was clearing having difficulty with her breathing control throughout the song. A bit distracting from her fine performance though. Someone mentioned that she is quite a heavy smoker, and that could certainly be a factor. Lovely young girl and quite talented though.

I would say that she is much closer to trying to copy Eva Cassidy's version, which is ten times better than this young lady can manage. Check it out here at ytube and see for yourself. Eva was a miracle...God bless her soul.

Nadine did really well. When you do covers you are supposed to add your own touch to it, im happy she did that and did it well. If you do it exactly like the original then, it becomes more like kareoke.

A bit distracting from her fine performance though. Someone mentioned that she is quite a heavy smoker, and that could certainly be a factor. Lovely young girl and quite talented though.

I would say that she is much closer to trying to copy Eva Cassidy's version, which is ten times better than this young lady can manage. Check it out here at ytube and see for yourself. Eva was a miracle...God bless her soul.

Nadine did really well. When you do covers you are supposed to add your own touch to it, im happy she did that and did it well. If you do it exactly like the original then, it becomes more like kareoke.

It's ALL good... she could have given props and respect to Eva because Eva passed away in 1996 from cancer at age 33.
Search on youtube for EVA CASSIDY and then watch "Fields of Gold" or "Over the Rainbow" and you will see this isn't even in the same league as Eva Cassidy. Not even close.

Nice vocals but Kosmickookie is RIGHT: She's ripping off the late Eva Cassidys' arrangement. BIG TIME. No big whoop I guess tho. Sadly I've seen her performing this song on several videos now in many different venues and she never mentions that its the late Eva Cassidy's rendition/version of Sting's original even once. Take a moment and check out Eva Cassidys' version (circa 1996) and then report back here with your findings:)

I am a huge fan of both Eva and Nadine and I don't understand what afrOmig wants here. Good performance, the Late Late Show one is even better I think - some fantastic vocalisations in that one.
