Why compare these girls with Angela?, who I think is pretty ordinary, because she does her job well but nothing MASSIVE, and well however, I think that these girls seem to have more influence from Holy Moses, which i think is FANTASTIC, they still need to grow up musically but for a very beginning is pretty classy and kick ass.

I pretty much get sick when a girl does grunts and automatically are compared to Angela, she's not the only one, for Lord's sake!

At the end of the day it all comes down to if you like what you hear and I do. Girl metal bands (not counting nevermore and "radio metal" acts) always have a harder time just because they're girls.. Maybe it's a threat to the metal-just-boys-club, I don't know.. Are men in general really so distracted by their appearence that they can't focus on their music?

Its poorly written, barely average in musicianship, and completely generic. Girls have a harder time in metal then men,because they rarely reach the same levels of musicianship and songwriting. They then use their looks to sell what the music cant. Hence what you have here.

Landmine marathon, Flyleaf,Light this city, and several others Trend - The general course or pervailing tendancy. Again Straightline Stitch,Landmine Marathon,Flyleaf, Light This City, Otep, Kittie,Arch Enemy,Gallhammer and plenty of other female fronted bands use growls and extreme vocals. I dont know it all but I do know quite a bit. You may base what you write on SOME of what I have said but its clearly not the bulk of it. IE songwriting, musicianship, lyrics, and relative originality. You then deflect by using lines like you cute DRPhil line. It wont help you

Ignorant doesn't even begin to cover what you're suffering from..

Compressor, eq and reverb are NOT effects as such and they do not alter the voice. Every recording that is made is made with these components. There are so many ways to change how the voice sounds and he hasn't used any of them. Some effects are auto-tune, pitch shifters and the company Antares has an arsenal of voice altering software. They have used nothing more than ANY singer would when recording.

I know what is needed to alter a voice in the way you think is being done here. Eq's, compressors and reverbs doesn't help much in the effort to make a tiny girl growler sound huge. You need other stuff for that and again, does Bryan Adams sound drenched in effects on his albums? He uses the same effects as you call them..

@DrMegaByte666 Reverb short for reverberation. Reverb alters guitar and base tones slightly or in a large way depending on how much is used. Its the same with vocals. Considering vocals tend to be recorded on their own tracks why exactly do her vocals need room? Next thing youll tell me is the drums werent triggered up and they are completely organic. Oh and that is me ASSuming youll say that. Perhaps we shoud take this conversation mail and not clutter the page with it.
