@herrderbloedis first off, he isnt, he just has it hooked up to the set. his left foots on the hi hat the entire time. second off, why should using the double bass pedal care about what genre youre playing for? i mean obviously you arent going to go crazy with it in a slow jazz song, but all the double bass pedal is is a different tool to achieve the same ends, which is playing the drums in a way that sounds great. if thats accomplished by playing the double bass pedal whats so wrong about that?
