sawACDC with Bon Scott backing up Aerosmith 1978 Winnipeg arena and absolutely stealing the show blowing Steven Tyler out of the water. Have seen them 3 times and will see them again if given another chance. The greatest live band of all time !!!!!!!!!!!
I must say... Simply unbelievable performance here, great work by some true rock n' roll legends...they will always be my favorite band!! Such rock gods!!!!
@sd5775 They had to use equipment that wasn't theirs----Mark Evans details it in his new book, 'Dirty Deeds'----It wasn't their gear, but they still played all live! Pretty impressive, yeah?
OOO Bon is a RROOCCKKEERR, AANNGUS TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. sORRY :)
What a great band! Check out our band, Cave, from Norway! We're inspired by AC/DC! Check out one of our songs here: watch?v=5Gu4Ffmm_-g&feature=channel_video_title
Bon and Brian are both great front men. I think Bon when he sings seems to put more of a swagger in the songs, and they seem to be laid back as well as rockin. Whereas Brian puts more of an agression in the songs, which I enjoy because I'm into heavier music. I do prefer Bon though, he just had an extra something.
Bon Scott´s voice realized the content of the songs. That´s what Brian Johnson never reached. AC/DC died with Bon but he is still alive in our hearts.
Played Fort Willliam Gardens back in the late 70`s after Bon S died. Even back then, Angus did his stage walk`` out into the `crowd`` - that is, all 3000 of us. `Let there be rock` was a signature performance, even back then.
Bon Gave ACDC Its Meaning, Bon Scott Defines ACDC. He Gave It Its Amazing Sound. I Respect Brian Johnson And Am A Big Fan Of His But An Even Greater Fan Of Bon. RIP BON SCOTT!!!!! Long Live ACDC!!!
Yeah, this version is a bit slow, closer to the studio version than other live recordings. If you're into the faster version of Livewire, check out Let There Be Rock: Live In Paris; they open with this, it's mind-blowing
This has got to be the absolute best version of this song. Love the more mellow vibe its got compared to other versions. Have loved it since heard on the Plug-Me In cd. RIP Bon
So cool. Ive never seen this video. What about those Orange amps?...well...I never heard about this...(they normally use Marshall...I wonder if the were trying something new?) Also....with all those guitar cords lying around it's amazing that Angus doesn't step on his own and pull it out mid solo (imagine that..lol). Ah the old days...; )
@cgtarga1 if music was religion, malcolm young would be the jesus. I'm not making music my career but to me, he is a real live GOD in the truest sense of the word. I really do worship the man's ambition, dedication, determination and loyalty to his trade <3
@sunnybabydoll90 His leads on High Voltage are sweet, with the live version of Soul Stripper classic. I wish I could find the youtube live version of soul stripper on CD (or vinyl for that matter). Don't get me wrong, Angus is truely awesome, but Malcolm's bluesier riffs are also favs of mine.

sidewaysbill 2 years ago 24
@sidewaysbill
He doesn't really need to much attack for this. This song sounds best with a fairly 'soft' tone, compared to most of they're other stuff that is.
lgop2nopz 2 years ago 2
@lgop2nopz But he does use the neck pick up in the other vids of this gig, too.
Guitarjosii 1 year ago
@Guitarjosii
Yes, he only needs a soft tone for this one song, live wire. The other songs work best with a more treble based feel from his guitar.
lgop2nopz 1 year ago
@lgop2nopz In such cases, Angus turns the Volume of the treble pick up down at the beginning, later on he turns it up all the way. However, in other Recordings of the exact same gig he uses the neck pick up as well. In studio, Angus also uses the treble pick up for Live Wire.
