Yeah, the solo is extended... It kind of mimics the vocal notes in the lyric "I've been trapped inside your heart shaped box..."

uh, in my opinion it's really good practice for me for when I play real guitar, since it helps me get the rhythm of the song down. I played the song like three times on expert at Fry's, then quickly went home, and got the whole song down in like five minutes after getting the tab...
