why do you have to add a loop to your groundstrokes? does it make it more powerful or what?

there is NO loop!! it is high takeback and swing!!! tink better to teach WHOLE ting properly talented players backsteps progression MO GOOD! otherwise bad habbits creep in ---

Why is it important to add the loop to your swing? Why not just start your swing on every shot like you do in the 3rd step?

You generate more power since the swing time is longer. Adding the backswing increases the time you can accelerate the racket, so it gives more power.

In fairness i believe that he never mentioned why as its so obvious why you would add it. He also never mentioned why you have to hold the racket.
