I saw this video after school one day years ago and went right back out the door... straight to Woolworths and bought the single. Absolutely played it to death. I've still got it but it's got a dirty great scratch across it! I've tried to clean it up with PC software but it didn't work very well. Thought I'd never hear it without the cracks and pops again so you've made my day!!!
As you say... the name on the single is Famous Names. I never even heard of Writz. Thanks again.
Good single. Not the same 'Famous Names' that did Modern Mums/Blind Date though.
Check it out.

The taller actor who invades the stage as a holiday maker is Rob Meadwell. A splendid chap and a Frinton Favourite.

Hey Steve,
More fantastic archive footage. Thanks. But surely the last swansong was the single Modern Mums/Blind Date (Sara Bee 1980)? Well I have copy anyway.
You guys were great.

Believe it or not, I saw this band play in Tel-Aviv in 1980-1981
