Stephen Harper can join Bush ......the two of them are 10 of the most witless politicians in history. imagine Harper congratulating the aboriginals on India s Republic day....sheesh
@jd8571 As an anglophone, I find his Francais accent charming, he's got an accent, HARDCORE, but his vocabulary would beat 80% of us Anglophones, probably, any day...
@themooddisorders No, but someone who still uses that word as an insult is a damn fool, that's for sure. You wanna give me a list of Chretien's accomplishments (good ones, so don't worry, it won't take too long), do it, and do it kindly. If not, if you wanna post comments like that, don't repsond to mine, and get off Youtube.
@Cnd1867 In reading the other person's reply to your comment, I would have to say that the only one who thinks of "retarded" as an insult in this context would have to be yourself.Considering the long list of positive things Chretien has done for this country, if you actually are denying that he has ever done any good for this country, then I think the question of whether you perhaps suffer from a mental illness is quite legitimate (not as an insult). If you do,then your comment would make sense.
@ammarios Also, had he not meant it as an insult, why use the term "retarded"? And second, "sorry I meant Rain Man", funny, but really doesn't back up the notion that he was genuinely questioning my mental state. I reacted the way I did because he was clearly using the term as a way to question my intelligence, and if anyone know anything about mental illness, just because you have one, doesn't automatically mean their intelligence is lower than someone without one.
@Cnd1867 If you do not, however, then denial is the only other viable explanation.
Anyways, your presupposing outburst at someone questioning whether you suffer from a legitimate mental illness (mental retardation), whether that person had indeed meant it as an insult or not, suggests that you yourself actually consider it to be an "insult". Anyways,I am not a supporter of the Liberal Party of Canada, but even I can say that Pierre Trudeau & Jean Chretien were two of our greatest Prime Ministers.
@ammarios My goodness, the fact that people who disagree with your assessment of a PM automatically leads you to classify them as someone with a mental illness is pretty telling of how little you have to support your side, and please spare me the "whether that person meant it as an insult". "...two of our greatest PMs", this is the same nonsense spouted by supporters of these men, never any substance, just, they were great. Economy, military and unity in the trash while they were PM.

3:45 One of them was democratically elected...
The other one was just an appointed figurehead who was never elected, never voted upon merely selected and not even a head of state.

Chrétien was great. We need another one like Jean Chrétien. Stephen Harper is awful.

@medialies100 Completely agree. Chrétien had class and was a powerful leader.
