I do not say this lightly, HOLY HOLY HOLY is my favorite song on earth. I bought Masters Command on cassette from a CHRISTian bookstore about 20 years ago and quickly bought others, and over the years I kept losing my tapes so I bought them repeatedly. Music that was respectful and worshipful as well as powerful and beautiful. Sacred Warrior are not only pioneers of quality heavier sounding CHRISTian music but that song in particularly really captured how I feel for THE LORD.
Wow, what a great memory. My husband and I were at Cornerstone in 2001 to see the Retro bands. Sacred Warrior, Bride and Guardian are some of our favorites. We met Rey Parra, what a gentleman and that awesome voice! A great show!!
Hey, If you like them, look up the band Broken Volume. Bruce and Tony from Sacred warrior started it. It is not as heavy as you may like, but it is good worship music too. The band didn't last long but I was able to attend private practice sessions and it's good stuff I like that. Enjoy!!!
9937 views... I guess there's still interest in the band, eh? Imagine how SW would blow up with airplay. Since there was really no national Christian radio (think KLOVE, WAY-FM etc.) back in the bands' heyday, one can only wonder how popular they really can be... DAL
Too bad most of the Christian radio stations does'nt want to play these old school metal,at least where I live and most of the Christian metal bands today don't even know these band excees, the bands that faved the way for them and when they played Stryper,Barren Cross..etc, tunes, they just laugh on the air.not to mention name, but its S...t,D.....nH...r,H...kN...nand many more
Oh my God. Cant believe I found you guys on youtube. I was thinking about my teenage years at First Assembly in Wheaton. Those were the best years of my life and I miss you guys!!! Please tell everyone hello. Seeing this video brings back so many great memories of all the concerts and when I hung out at the studio by Nick and Tony's. By the way this is Corina Rodriguez. I was one of Lauri's best friends as well as Becky Beeman's. Take care
I am glad to know you are doing a new cd, I got the chance to see and meet you many years ago in Greensboro NC.. it was AWESOME. Rey you are one of the best singers ever!!!!
back during their Weapons Of Our Warfare tour I had the pleasure of meeting these guys when some friends of mine band ASLAN opened for theme in Marion ILL.Iran the spotlights for the concert.
Years later I went on to audition and manage to land the gig with a band that went by the name of Soul Path, that three of the original members from a previous band known as Amulance on to form , another 15 min. of Fame, Wow!!! At this rate I might end up with an hour and change before long.
Back in '91 a year after I had moved to Joliet from Texas, I, in a strange twist of events, met up with a fellow metal-head by the name of Bob Hopkins who happen to be friends with Larry Dean Banks of TRYTAN, one day while hanging out, Bob took me over to a Bible Study at Bruce Swift home in WC,IL. where I got the chance to meet the guys of SC., sometime after that I got a chance to show-case my guitar chops with them at one of their band practices, that was my 15 min. of fame, It was a nice.
man, the 1st song was embarrassing!...I always loved Bruce Swift's guitar style and sound- especially his solos.....oh yeah, their drummer was unique too- a maniac on drums!
i would love to see more Sacred Warrior, one of the best Christian Metal bands out there. Saw them at Darien Lake almost two decades ago. Holy Holy Holy, and Little Secrets is one of my favorite songs by them. PLEASE POST MORE!!!
Great to see some more footage of SW - still one of the best metal bands ever...Loved all 4 albums....A reunion cd would be awesome!.....but highly unlikely

These guys are still friends and work in businesses and ministries of all types.
Occasionally, they come together for music and memories. There's always talk of a new album. Pray it happens.
