No offense to either you or William Clarke but Lester sounds more like James Harman to me, although I can hear what you mean! I have read a Lester interview where he mentions Harman and somewhere here on YouTube he states that he's been going to Harman gigs for "half of his life".

I'm a fan of all three of the players I've mentioned and I have to say that I think James Harman would inspire any aspiring blues singer, player and songwriter.

    Best wishes from the U.K.

  • one of my favorite blues bands of all time!!!!!! do you have any more of this show? priceless!!!!!

  • The only harmonica player I knew who would not cause listening fatigue after 2 hours of harp playing. Very inventive, he played for keeps, every night, whether it was a packed or empty room. R.I.P.

  • Blow your face off, my brother! Thanks for posting this. Unbelievable, amazing and unstoppable!!!

  • It's remarkable how much the two passed blues giants: Lester and William Clarke sounded alike in their fluid, organic, unambiguous tone and phrasing. Bravo!
