I much preferred X Factor to Virtual XI. I'm very glad that Bruce and Adrian are back in the band, Blayze did the best he could could with Maiden, and God bless him for it.
I much prefer Bruce though. Still, I don't dislike Blayze, Maiden felt him the best for the job. Although, I would love to have seen how Ripper Owens would have sounded with them. These few years (with Blayze) were tough ones for everyone, none the least the actual members of Maiden that had to deal with upset fans.
see: When Bruce sings Lord Of the flies (Death on The Road), it sounds.... bad. There are some songs that are made only for Blaze, in X Factor and Virtual XI. Blaze did a great Job, and you cant compare Blace with bruce; they are too different. Deal with it...
Just a question do you pronounce the titles X Factor and Virtual XI (as in letters) or 10 Factor ( which in my opinion sounds ridiculous) and Virtual 11
Im definitely a fan of the X Factor album. Havn't heard much of Virtual XI but ima give that album a listen soon. Iron Maiden is Iron Maiden. Ima fan and im always gonna be fan, Good upload, i love solos! lol
yea blaze was ok but when it came to live song HE SUCKS I WANTED TO KICK THE CRAP OUT OF HIM FOR RUNING HAWLLOD BE THY NAME SEING AS THATS MY NUMBER ONE FAVERT SONG OF THERES STUFFF
Blaze cannot be blamed in any way when it comes to sing songs that were written for a guy with a high and bright voice (Bruce Dickinson). It's pretty ironical that you can't even spell Hallowed Be Thy Name, the name of the song that you consider is your "FAVERT" Iron Maiden song.
I am a die hard Iron Maiden fan and my two favroties albums by Iron Maiden are those two. My all time favorite record is X-factor, and my all time favorite song is Sign of the Cross. I don't get why people hate those album, they are simply pure masterpieces. UP THE IRONS!
Well they probably hate that the same band that played Aces High changed so much but that isn't bad Iron Maiden is still my favorite no matter what anyone says blaze was great too!
@Heavymetalpower666 actually, they all think bruce is better vocal,i thin it 2,but when i sit and something like blizzard happen in my mind,i actually think blaze is better singer,he has more powerful voice, guys please leave your comments 4 urselves, but BLAZE is the king, these 2 albums are their best indeed
@Heavymetalpower666 yea sign of the cross is a fucking masterpiece! and the x factor is one of my favorites too! i dont care what people think. and i dont care that your favorite is the x factor! its your choice! and you are really cool that you are saying that here
I think a change is good as a rest, I find myself listing to these albums, and the paul dianno albums more than than the bruce ones. Virtual xi has one of my favorite maiden tracks on, Como estais amigos.
for the love of God...what are you saying mate ?? I think you can buy "Virtual XI" and see for your self who sings... And something else, don't you hear the voice ??? is it possible that Bruce could have such a messed up voice ???
For me X factor is their best album ever, and virtual XI their worst album ever. Imagine X Factor released in 1995 with Bruce singing and produced by Martin Birch: it would have been hailed by the press and by the fans. But Bayleys voice was perfect for these dark songs.
If you ask me The X Factor is propably in the top 5 of Maiden albums. Virtual XI is probably Maiden's weakest studio album, but it's still worth listening. It's good when they have never done any album which is really crap, just a few which are not as good as the others.
These two albums fuckin' rock and are probably Maiden's best albums. The only poor songs are X Factor's Blood on the World's Hands and Man on the Edge and Virtual's The Angel and the Gambler. I highly recommend getting both. Forget those who say Blaze Bayley sucks!
this guy is so right ! the two best maidens album are in this video !! the only weak song in my opinion is the angel and the gambler. blaze is an awesome song and did a great job, as good as bruce in my opinion.
Uhhh what the heck..here we go again. 1. Sign of the Cross 2. The Unbeliever 3. 2 A.M 4. I want to say the Edge of Darkness 5. I think Judgment of Heaven? Not sure 6. Fortunes of War 7. Man on the Edge 8. Lord of the Flies 9. The Educated Fool 10. Obviously The Clansman
Top 5 Iron Maiden albums ever IMO.
1. X Factor
2. Virtual XI
3. Iron Maiden
4. Killers
5. The Number Of The Beast

I think The X Factor is Iron Maiden's strongest album since SSOASS, but I don't like Virtual XI that much...just a few tracks off it.
Futureal, Lightning Strikes Twice, The Clansman and The Educated Fool.
The 1990s were maiden's most underrated years.
