I overclocked mine Galaxy S2 to 1200mhz (limit), after that I putted back to ondemand (standard) and deleted the app.

I did a Hard-Reset on mphone and I scored a 3010.

Is that a standard score or a over-clocked score, because I did do a hard reste and delted the SetCpu app but I don't know if it deletes it's elements completely?

not trying to insult the SGS2, but Desire S can quite match it remembering it still runs on a single 1GHz processor.. So, if i have the money, i will get the SGS2, but i think for now, the Desire S best suits me in terms of personal-affordability to performance ratio..

Not fear, Sgs 2 is much more expensive because of his 1.2 GHz DUAL processor vs a cheaper phone witch doesn't have a 1.2 GHz DUAL processor but a 1.0 SINGLE processor!

@BKboy999 In some way I think your right because you know the sgs2 is gonna win but then on the other hand hes shown us that it really isnt that much different between the phones. Dual core processor clocked at 1.2ghz and its hardly doing much better the desire s is one of the most powerful android devices still at the moment id say the most powerful of the single core devices and only the sensation, sgs2 and evo 3d actually beat the desire s. If you strip htc sense bloatware desire s is better

S II never lags...its the way Android is meant to be.

Mic is perfect...even better it can translate different languages.

GPS Locks on SUPER fast...I mean SUPERRRR FAST.

Thanks for the awesome videos! They helped me make up my mind between holding out for the Sensation & buying the SGII ! Got this amazing piece of engineering from O2 yesterday. Just a small query: I have noticed slight banding issues on the display when showing images with gradual single colour gradients. Eg: The grey background in the Neural Net Live Wallpaper, The grey background in the Windmill Wallpaper (when cloudy), the splash screen of Kies when connected to PC etc..(Contd)

I'm reading on the Net that the UK version of the SGS2 has not got the Near field communication functionality that was promoted so loudly at its lunch. Also any reference to it has been removed from the manual. Is this the case with yours. Thank You

Im wondering if linpack is running both cores. Im guessing not tbh. That 41 vs 47 is a ~15% increase, 1Ghz vs 1.2GHz is 15%. So im willing to bet its running on a single core only on the S2.

What is funny is my PC runs at 65Gflops... Phones still have a way to go :p

Galaxy s2 (according to linpack) calculates 7M complex operations more than the desire every second, believe me it's alot of improvment... :)

@bambucha1988 nenamark on the S2 hits the mali-400's fps limit of 60fps every time you run it, the Desire S would be lucky to get half that tbh. Hope that helps

@mattj101101 more than 60 fps is really not needed, the screen has a refvresh rate of 60hz so that makes more than 60fps useless, and also 60fps is twice as much as what is consider smooth at 30fps

If I'm not mistaken it's quite logical the linpack performance is not that much higher: the samsung has a dual core processor, linpack does not recognize the dual cores. So You're comparing just one core of the galaxy to the desire...
