  • yes , django, speh, eddie, , we have had sounds over the years, but they the three, and the big bands.. have got to be one off the best

  • @neilplumley Ye, on Eddie's Blues (Django), Fiddle blues and Improvisation on Bach's Double (Django and Stephane), and maybe more I don't know of.

  • @2ndviolinist He also made a few other recordings with them in the same November 1937 session- Dinah, Daphne, Oh Lady be Good, I Can't Believe That You're in Love With Me, Somebody Loves Me, Sweet Georgia Brown.

  • One can only ask "what might have been if only...." Heifetz greatly respected jazz violinists and often said he could not do what they did on the violin!! I don't know if he ever heard Eddie South - he would have been overjoyed.
