One can only ask "what might have been if only...." Heifetz greatly respected jazz violinists and often said he could not do what they did on the violin!! I don't know if he ever heard Eddie South - he would have been overjoyed.

yes , django, speh, eddie, , we have had sounds over the years, but they the three, and the big bands.. have got to be one off the best

@neilplumley Ye, on Eddie's Blues (Django), Fiddle blues and Improvisation on Bach's Double (Django and Stephane), and maybe more I don't know of.
