Yes that's because Cell is way ahead of it's time and was created in a way that has(among other things) the power to take some stuff about graphics of the RSX shoulders onto itself.RSX may be weak when compard to 5970 or GTX295,but that aside it is far from being weak.

It's gonna be much easier on your system than Crysis one, maybe even easier than Warhead. Those games were badly optimised - see Fallout 3. Awesome graphics, good performance- I run it at max settings with 2x AA and 6x AF, never spikes me with lag. Crysis Warhead then, struggles to achieve 25fps on High 720p with no AA or AF. Even though there is more action in the Crysis games, it shouldn't be that stressful in noncombat situations.

no man, PC WAS dying, not anymore though. Haven't you seen how much developer focus is put on PC and how much better then games are on it? Consoles are just so developers make their cash. Their real work is on PC. And PC gaming CAN'T die, if it does, so will hardcore gaming.

Plus, you think companies like Capcom, Valve, and Crytek for example would let PC gaming die? They wouldn't. Plus, PC gaming sells A LOT, just not as much as consoles.

Crysis 1 needed to high specs when it came out and was crippled being released just after windows vists. As for consoles being faster, ps3 has an insanely high ram speed, but a lack of raw ram power. i don't know much about the Cell processor but can;t imagine it being faster than an i7.

Xbox 360 is underpowered. 512 card (oldest 512 model, probably less powerful than an 8800GT) with its old quad core im guessing will be toned down.

How can a console compete with an i7 and 1.5gb gfx card

just wow phads77, epic fail dude. CryEngine is better than any engine in the world. PS3 fan here but the truth is that console fanboys are stupid, they don't understand that PC games are totally better like OFP Cold War Crisis, BF2142, ArmA II, CRYSIS WARHEAD etc.

PC world will always reign. For example, why OFPDR sucked because of the new company and less servers on that game compared to the original OFP made by the original dev BIS and there is still a lot of servers since 9 years ago.
