To understand why he married, one needs to understand the social situation for Arab women at the time the prophet was alive. Single women were treated as public property in 7th century Arabia. In order for women to have rights, they needed to be living with either their fathers, brothers, uncles, or husbands. Aisha was an orphan and there was no such thing as adoption.

Not if the source is questionable, the message contradictory and the evidence non-existent...If the 'divine text' contained anything out of it's time or location, then I might be impressed, but it appears God has no knowledge of events before of after the 7th century...I found nothing impressive in the Quran, and have no reason to believe God has ever interacted with humans in any way.

1. If for setting your values and to live it in a good way, one needs an external being to guide like god or scriptures, doesnt it mean that the person is actually not good from inside? In the absence of such an external so called 'guide', wont religious people be without morals?
2. IF scriptures could be interpreted in different ways as suitable to ppl,doesn't it make all holy scriptures (Quran, Bible, Gita) useless? You cannot 'interpret' science that way

Scientists always review their work and although science isnt wrong scientists are not always right, They do make mistakes. Im sure religious people dont judge people by their faith... One of the first scribes of the Prophet Muhammad. Very interesting.
Also Uthman ibn Affan saw that many different copies of the Quran were being made and so he made one type and destroyed other types... how do we know he preserved the right type? Also many pages went missing, and the QURAN SAYS MANY VERSES HAVE BEEN ABROGATED (CHANGED)
