@MusicLovesComedy21 You can try Walmart, but Im pretty positive they don't have it (and its probably the only thing Walmart doesn't have) but Im a absolutely positive Sally's (the hair and beauty store) has it.
LOL i think i'm gonna add more than 4 teaspoons! I want it as textured as possible. But wait, will it be damaging to my hair, to add even more sea salt? Answer please!
@Feeeeeemale Yes, it will be more damaging, It will make your hair a lot dryer. Maybe try using a leave in conditioner first so the drying won't be as bad! but it definately will dry your hair out :p
@1000iluvdance Ellen was doing a commercial for covergirl and youtube advertised, so the ad was probably before the video (: Ellen said Hey Wrinkle face because she was advertising something for covergirl (:
I'm so confused. You add water to this right? But if you add water, water oil don't mix so how does this work. I really want to try this so please help.
@peacegrl65 Water and oil don't mix, that's why you have to shake it every time before you spray. That way all the oil that has sunk to the bottom of the bottle is stirred up and is sprayed out along with the water and salt. I hope that was helpful :) (basically I'm saying, don't worry about it! :D Just make it and enjoy!)
Did it! :) Worked amazing! and i have super curly hair so thats saying something! The only thing i don't like is that it feels really nasty :$. like you know what teased hair feels like? It feels like that, any way to fix that? Spray on conditioner maybe?
@RKvampireslayer I wouldn't use perfume because the alcohol in it will dry your hair more. I heard you aren't even supposed to sprits your hair with perfume or body spray at all. But I have read that almond oil will work!
how long will it take for it to wave/curl or do u do it at night??????/ also i have curly/wavey hair but its really fizzy!!! so can i still use this someone please reply and tell me??!!!
I made a batch this a.m. after finding out that sea salt makes the hair wave and curl more, boy oh boy I don't see on straight piece of hair on my head. Amazing and simple, great vid and lovely hair. :)
This worked awesome! :) and I have naturally super curly hair and it gave my hair the perfect beachy look! I used coconut/papaya oil in mine and it gave my hair a tropical scent :) Thanks so much!
@thisgirllovesdance53 it was in the video that said you could substitute olive or coconut oil instead of jojoba oil. i know im not her, but i wanted to let you know :P
@BrightBeginnings77 It won't be drying if you add the jojoba oil, olive oil, etc. Because that will cancel out the drying effects of the salts and the oils will add moisture to your hair that the salt takes away. :)
An added tip - If sea salt spray is too drying (which it is for me), I use Aussie's "Catch The Wave" Mousse + Leave-in Conditioner. My hair is stick straight so scrunching when it's wet does nothing for me. I crimp it with a straightener, then use the Aussie mousse to scrunch and add texture. The leave-in conditioner in the mousse makes my hair soft while still giving it that beachy look. Hope that helps some of you girls!
my hair is very hard to curl especially when it's wet. its extremely difficult for me to scrunch my hair with mousse or gel. do you think this would still work for me?
@50winwin50 It'll probably work.. everyone's hair is different but its how your hair turns out after you go to the beach for a long day. I would try it and see if it works.!
I had done this a few months ago, and used it all the time [even today, since I was in the beach :) ] i used a little bit of coconut oil, but nothing else, since it has an amaizing smell from the coconut oil :)
@katiebrookeee that's why she added the jojoba oil. she's not suggesting you use this every single day of your life because as you said it can be drying, but the jojoba oil will help counteract the harshness of the sea salt.
You can find a lot of this stuff at vitacoast. Com. Thanks for video! I was going to look for a video like this and I saw this in my inbox! Thanks! :-)
@miaaxmarikaa It adds texture to your hair. It looks the same as if you went and swam at the beach then let your hair dry in the sun. Most people like the look of that, so this mimics that.
