  • Can u use baby oil????? SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!:/

  • can we use regular salt if we dunt hv sea salt PLEASE ANSWR

  • @HyperAllTheTimeMia The fact that it's sea salt is what gives your hair the beach waves look, so i guess you can't use regular salt.

  • where can you get jojoba oil??

  • @XPasdfun6 I don't know but you could also use coconut oil or olive oil (:

  • @XPasdfun6 any health store really drugstore wont have it

  • what kind of sea salt was that one was that like rock salt harvested from the sea ? pls reply Rachhloves !

  • Where do you get the jojoba oil? I have naturally straight, thin, oily, healthy hair and I want to be able to get wavy hair easily. Thanks (:

  • @MusicLovesComedy21 You can try Walmart, but Im pretty positive they don't have it (and its probably the only thing Walmart doesn't have) but Im a absolutely positive Sally's (the hair and beauty store) has it.

  • what happens if you use regular salt? please answer x

  • @MakeupbyKKxo Yes,you can use maraccion oil.Maraccoin oil is just like coconut oil, which is often used in these type of things.

    Hope this helped!

  • can i use iodized salt or table salt?

  • @babydonut85 I have accually tried both of those out before. But they both didn't work for me,so I recommend just using regular "sea salt".

    Hope this helped!

  • i love it !!

  • can i use sunflower oil?

  • LOL i think i'm gonna add more than 4 teaspoons! I want it as textured as possible. But wait, will it be damaging to my hair, to add even more sea salt? Answer please!

  • @Feeeeeemale Yes, it will be more damaging, It will make your hair a lot dryer. Maybe try using a leave in conditioner first so the drying won't be as bad! but it definately will dry your hair out :p

  • @karissaaa5 Haha okay thank you! So i put the leave in conditioner first, on my damp hair, then apply the spray? :)

  • 0:09, did you draw eyeliner on your eyes, ON the picture? :p

  • @Feeeeeemale omg . she did .

  • This is brilliant!

  • Ellen just called me wrinkle face.....

    /:

  • @Twilightobsessive10 What does that mean I've seen it everywhere and I don't get it!!!

  • @1000iluvdance Ellen was doing a commercial for covergirl and youtube advertised, so the ad was probably before the video (: Ellen said Hey Wrinkle face because she was advertising something for covergirl (:

  • Dear Racch Loves,

I'm so confused. You add water to this right? But if you add water, water oil don't mix so how does this work. I really want to try this so please help.

    Thanks!! :)

  • @peacegrl65 SHAKE it!

  • @peacegrl65 Water and oil don't mix, that's why you have to shake it every time before you spray. That way all the oil that has sunk to the bottom of the bottle is stirred up and is sprayed out along with the water and salt. I hope that was helpful :) (basically I'm saying, don't worry about it! :D Just make it and enjoy!)

  • @carlzthebeastt that's why you shake it everyone because it will be mixed for about five minutes but then the oil will finally rise after that.

  • Uhh water and oil dont mix...hope she realizes thatt.

  • wouldn't the salt dry out the hair?

  • Where can you get essential oils??

  • Can I Just Use Normal Salt ?

  • @AmbiieeLove it doesn't work as well as sea salt. not sure why, but it's not as effective for some reason.

  • how many cups of water are in the bottle can you please give me the recpie?

  • You can get the essential oils at walmart. They have coconut, argon, almond, etc. That are great for your hair!

  • Watching this video at the same time with other one of yours is extremely bizarre.

  • does it really dries the hair?

  • can u use only water and salt not sea salt?

  • Cool

  • Hey, Can You Use Like Hair Oil? I Have Super Curly Frizzy Hair As Well.

  • -can i use coarse sea salt?

  • Can you use argon oil?

  • loved the video :) , 2 questions

    1) can you use almond oil

    2) and can you use perfume instead of essential oils

  • It is Really good i love it thanks!!

  • will table salt work?

  • @MusicXmakeup18

lol of course not, the whole reason why you get beachy waves is because of the sea salt

    table salt would not work.

  • how many ounces is your spray bottle?

  • does it work good with very curly hair?

  • can i just go to the beach and get some water?? hahah

  • @xoxo165 ya but youll need to add oil and maybe essential oils to it!

  • I tried this and it worked sosososo good!

  • i already asked this before, but here it is again

would canola oil or vegetable oil work too?

  • aweee racheal your so sweet! great tut

  • Could I use Moroccan oil :)??

  • it sounds so scripted

  • oooh im excited to try this!

  • Hey Rachel!

Could you substitute jojoba for olive oi?l.. or would that weigh your hair down and make it oily?

    Please Respond... Thanks!

  • @thisgirllovesdance53 it says in the video you can use olive oil too.

  • @thisgirllovesdance53 you can! i'd use less olive oil than jojoba though, it's heavier

  • @thisgirllovesdance53 it was in the video that said you could substitute olive or coconut oil instead of jojoba oil. i know im not her, but i wanted to let you know :P

  • @thisgirllovesdance53 she said olive or coconut oil works too.. so yea.

  • since you apply it to wet hair.. would you blow dry after or air dry?? D:

  • omg i have the same spray bottle lol i use it for cleaning tho :)

  • great DIY! im definitly going to try it out :)

  • did you order your jojoba oil and lavender of "puresource"?

  • would this work on curly hair? or would it make it frizzy?

  • Would i have to let my hair dry naturally, or would it be OK if i blow-dried it?

  • Would the salt be drying to my hair? I haven't done this before and this is why I ask, please reply back. Thank you :)

  • @BrightBeginnings77 It won't be drying if you add the jojoba oil, olive oil, etc. Because that will cancel out the drying effects of the salts and the oils will add moisture to your hair that the salt takes away. :)

  • @iMurderedPikachu Thank you sweetie! Have a lovely evening :)

  • @BrightBeginnings77 She said in the video to add the oil so it doesn't dry out your hair.

  • Love thiss!! thank youuuuuuuu!!!! xx

  • do other types of oil work too? like canola or vegetable? i dont have olive or jojoba ):

  • You are so beautiful!!

  • where do you get the oils + essential oils? thanks! xo

  • Where do you buy Essential Oil and how much is it?

Can I use anything to substitute?

  • @TheGingerkid2 you can get it at Whole Foods, or Bath and Body Works. Its mainly for smell. Its not expensive.

  • @szollo707 thanks lol i dont have either of those stores near me. lol can u get it at like walmart or target or kmart or something like that?

  • @TheGingerkid2 it may be at Walmart where they keep the candles and incense ect. You can check their online website before going to the store.

  • @TheGingerkid2 lol ok thanks! Have a great day!

  • @pariAfg13

yeah, she said that in the beginning :)

  • please do a tutorial on how you apply it and stuff :)

  • Thaaaaaaaaank you :), such a nice idea.

  • could you use olive oil to counteract the dryness, and then another essential oil like lavender also? please respond :)

  • @benefitphinatic Olive oild would have the same effect as jojoba oil, so yes.

  • if you dont have any oils to put in, you can also make it with a blob of lave in conditioner

  • hey rach where did you find jojoba oil?!?! i live in canada too and cant find any other than online :(:(??

  • Your voice sounds like Carly Cristman's, without the accent :)

  • CAN YOU USE OLIVE OIL?

  • wow rach! that black and white photo of you...wow!!!!!!

  • would almond oil work instead of jojoba?

&this is great thanks so much :)

  • I used coconut essential oil and scent(: It makes me feel like im at the beach.

  • can u skip the essenciel oil ?

  • you should boil the water first, then put the sea salt in. the heat obsorbs the salt and makes it easier to work with.

  • Love it!!!! I can't wait to try this!

  • An added tip - If sea salt spray is too drying (which it is for me), I use Aussie's "Catch The Wave" Mousse + Leave-in Conditioner. My hair is stick straight so scrunching when it's wet does nothing for me. I crimp it with a straightener, then use the Aussie mousse to scrunch and add texture. The leave-in conditioner in the mousse makes my hair soft while still giving it that beachy look. Hope that helps some of you girls!

  • @cherryblossoms32 thanks!!!

  • my hair is very hard to curl especially when it's wet. its extremely difficult for me to scrunch my hair with mousse or gel. do you think this would still work for me?

  • @50winwin50 It'll probably work.. everyone's hair is different but its how your hair turns out after you go to the beach for a long day. I would try it and see if it works.!

  • @Julietloves3 after the beach my hair is still straight its just all knotted but it still looks straight

  • can u use this on naturally curly hair or should i straightening my hair fist

  • I had done this a few months ago, and used it all the time [even today, since I was in the beach :) ] i used a little bit of coconut oil, but nothing else, since it has an amaizing smell from the coconut oil :)

  • most ppl know that salt is actually readlly bad for your hair...it dries it out and can make it stringy

  • @katiebrookeee that's why she added the jojoba oil. she's not suggesting you use this every single day of your life because as you said it can be drying, but the jojoba oil will help counteract the harshness of the sea salt.

  • You can find a lot of this stuff at vitacoast. Com. Thanks for video! I was going to look for a video like this and I saw this in my inbox! Thanks! :-)

  • IS it okay to use olive oil for the oil part? :s <3

  • @Hollywoodgirl1010 She wrote on the video that you can.

  • @Hollywoodgirl1010 Oh i just read the coconut part

  • Thanks! This helps sooo much!

  • @miaaxmarikaa It adds texture to your hair. It looks the same as if you went and swam at the beach then let your hair dry in the sun. Most people like the look of that, so this mimics that.

  • @miaaxmarikaa It's supposed to add texture to the hair. Kinda like when you go to the beach and go in the ocean. That's the look sea salt sprays mock. So it's pointless to make/buy these if you live at the beach.

  • does this work on curly hair?

  • @Caitehh i have naturally curly hair and it works for me(:

  • @Caitehh It will work on curly hair, but since it is already naturally curly, it would most likely just add more texture and help them look less frizzy against the humid weather!

  • @Caitehh ittle probably work better on curly hair :]

  • @Caitehh it works !! i used olive oil instead of jojoba and no essential oil.
