I believe I have the end all cure to this logic-empty argument. Think about it for a second...All a basketball player's life, he plays on a 10 foot rim. Regardless of dunking, How would the kids shoot? Your depth perception would massively be off. Almost all shots would clang off the backboard and the rim, or airball because the shots are meant for ten feet. Come on, people; use logic. I'm just a kid and I was hoping an adult would be smart enough to recognize this. Give the kids their propers.

Man you need to watch this video a little more closely alot of these windmills are during layup lines, and also kobe back in the day would windmill on mothafukers. You've also got to understand lbj and kobe are by no means the highest jumpers in the nba or even college basketball, they just combine they're talent and athleticism into great dunks, not to mention they're both very tall and long.

Yeah, so that automatically makes the rims ten feet? I agree that they normally would be and should be, but they're clearly not regulation height in parts of this video, if not the entire thing.

For example, Guy Landry is 6'5" wearing boots, maybe, and at 2:07 if you pause it, his head is at the rim and he finishes a full windmill. Some of the best dunkers/athletes in the world can't do that and the kid was 16 when this video was taken. LBJ can't hit his head on the rim jumping off 2 feet.
