The thing is, i get 40$ a month by my mom(im 13 xD), and i was thinking to get an subscription with phone, and i found the sensation XL but it cost 30$ a month, while the normal Sensation cost 25$ and i really want to save money for dream hack 2011 summer, so is there a big difference on the sensation and the sensation xl (except for the new beats audio and the 1,5ghz processor)?
@productionmaniacp98 The Sensation is the better of the 2 phones :), ok it does not have Beats but apart from that its smaller and for you i feel this will be easier to use.
But it runs a Dual Core 1.2Ghz, the XL is a Single Core 1.5Ghz :)..
@samjpullen Okay thanks for the advice, thinking of getting this phone actually... because i save a little more money for my savings account and also i get a pretty nice phone overall :) ... subscribed :)
@Robrob007 So true, Nexus S is a BEAST! Never had a single problem with it... And nonetheless, my phone beats both SG2 and HD sensation in speed! 4473 points in Quadrant Standard :)
The GPU in the Sensation may have only a 4 core GPU, while the geforce is a 8 core, but Adreno 220 GPU makes better use of the pipeline, by being shorter and more lanes, which can process 88 million triangles per second, tegra can only do 71 million triangles per second that max with all 8 core running.
Think back to "tntel netburst architecture" which was extremely inefficient, and threw it out in heat. Just because you have faster GHZ or more cores doesn't mean anything.
These benchmarks have to be wrong, i agree GS2 is faster no doubt but my desire Hd gets about 2070 out the box and 3000 @ 1.8ghz overclock and linpack gives 50 and then 68 |@ 1.8ghz. These can't be right just saying :)
I never said SGS2 had 2.2 or even tested the SGS2 or put it on the list?
And HTC Sensation actually has the best GPU out of all three. Only tested lower due to it higher screen resolution. It's GPU can do about 88 million triangles per second.
SGS2 has a synchronous dual core processor meaning both of its cores are sunning at the same time. HTC Sensation has an asynchronous dual core processor meaning only one core runs and both cores will run when necessary. Double that score and you've got the accurate benchmark score and you will see that the Sensation outmatches the SGS2. I would love it if someone would talk about the difference in processors before putting the Sensation down.

@pinkerester No the evo 3d has the snapdragon 8660 plus 1gb of ram vs the htc sensation's snapdragon 8260 with 768mb of ram so you do the math #just saying
@lanceealy 8260 and 8660 are the same cores..., its just other modems...
btw, did you ever think that stepping the cores might bring the differences? Bring it to the max, and you'll have greater results. as long as this is not rooted, you cannot say anything about the real performance.
sorry if my first comment sounded offending. i know quite a few people care about the benchmarks. i love all your videos :) just got done watching all the sensation ones, now im gonna watch the sgs2 ones :) im looking forward to a review of the sensation :)

@ChaunceySeepcrack lol no myth...I have had one for the past 18 months and it gets used 'A LOT'...rock solid build quality, no scratches, dents, cracks...nothing!
And for the record the Senstation does have a Gorilla glass display :)
lol it has gorilla glass so does the desire HD !!... the scores are lower because of the qhd screens...if you take the pixel increase into account it scores close to the sgs2..plus i have seen that some of the test on the HTC Sensation finished faster than on the sgs2...but dunno why the score seems on the low side while the test finishes faster on the Sensation
@abuserkadayf Lol, The s2 reaches its max frame rate in those tests, so for 3d the sensation comes no where close, even with the higher res screen taken into account. And what reallly counts is real life performance. Look at all browsing videos, you can open so many tabs with flash running and the s2 is fine and smooth as fuck. I'm not saying the sensation is a bad phone. But the s2 has better specs. There is no way to argue with that.
@TheBrokenEclipse SGS2 has a synchronous dual core processor meaning both of its cores are sunning at the same time. @bballmaster0663 That might be true, but you forget two important factors: 1. these apps are (supposed) to push the phones to their maximum, which mean that both phone have to use maximum power. 2. the qHd display on the Sensation packs a lot more pixels per inch, which means that there are a lot more pixels the cores have to controle. @man0z It's not just the back mate, the entire look of the phone looks cheaper quality than the HTC...I agree the Galaxy is an excellent phone..but for me the look of the shiny plastic spoils it.
@TheBrokenEclipse i mean what you want with better cpu gpu ram , this is just a phone , u can do everything with the iphone what you can do with the galaxy s2 etc. mb some seconds slower but who cares
It looks 10 times better? well i guess thats your opinion, you cant compare phones by the design, thats pretty much up to what you think looks best. If we look at the hardware, GS2 is waaay better then iphone 4.

@fotljubei
It looks 10 times better? well i guess thats your opinion, you cant compare phones by the design, thats pretty much up to what you think looks best. If we look at the hardware, GS2 is waaay better then iphone 4.

@viranijoush good luck with GPS issues. Check out XDA. Seems many people are having the same issues as with SGS

@viranijoush SGS2 has a synchronous dual core processor meaning both of its cores are sunning at the same time.
