Okay, so you go out and get knocked up with an illegitimate child. A child whos birth I am sure the taxpayers paid for through her military benefits, and also increased her pay and Quarters allowance. So she takes all of this money, but when its time to perform her duty she balks? Enjoy your court martial.

Taxes are wasted on this war and for (some) welfare people to get food stamps & get their nails and hair done. When her fc plan fell through, she talked to her chain of command & told them. They told her child services was her only option so she missed the plane. I'm Army & I got treated like sh*t for having a injury right before a deployment. I just needed proper medical care for my back & to get my car accident claim straightened out before I deployed I wanted to deploy but not with an injury!

smells like this was planned between soldier mom and her mom. So maybe soldier could get out of deployment. Boy my son deploys again next march, guess I will send a note with him so he can stay home too

I feel that single parents shouldn't join the Army because the mission is always first before anything else but why are so many people in the military now?? The economy. Folk gotta do what they gotta do. Also the daddy probably didn't want the responsibility of taking care of a kid or promiscuity on her part. You don't know and it's none of your business or mine. I don't have children but I defend her 100%!

@misstijera It was made our business when this video was put up. This kid was HAD when she was in the military and why isnt she married ? Ummm no baby daddy is all to common and others are having to deal with kids when they raised their own. I am sure the Girl who is in the military is awesome but she shouldn't be deployed she should be state side for her child.

Many join the army as a last resort when they are unable to find any other job. There are more important things in life that drive people to join the army than "patriotism" (which is usually a by-product of propaganda).

A little know fact is. If youre a business owner you don't have to go.. So a word to the wise. Open a small business, could be anything that would take your time. Our government finds that as something worth while staying home for but to raise you child? No way. So get shot up your kids don't need you. In the passed if you were a single parent they did not use you.. This Government is out of control!!!!

She is a single mom as it appears. I wouldn't be surprised that she needed to join the army to have a source of income. This isn't about patriotism. Heck most who join the army do it as a last resort if they cannot find any other source of income. This is a matter of survival and taking care of her child. If you were in her shoes, would you have posted that same comment?

Some people do. Instead of increasing military budget and jumping into any war that comes along the US should reform itself, so that people don't have to go to military for pure survival.

@Wodinswolf Well with the economy going to crap-go figure.. You got 40 year old privates in the Army now. No way in hell I would be 40 in the Army. That is what happens when you waste your life in your 20's & 30's. I am not saying that is her case but people gotta do what they gotta do. Dumbies keep re enlisting because they fear the economy & feel they can't do no better. And retention scares the crap out of them. That's what happened to me it's not gonna happen again (fear of stop loss & irr).

Even though I hate the Army, it is still more respectable than staying on welfare for 20 years or hookin' on a corner somewhere. People need to leave this girl alone you aren't in her situation and don't understand. Everybody doesn't join the Army for this "fake" patriotism. People need food on the table and a bed for their children. If it wasn't for job security half of ya'll wouldn't even be in.

This is ridiculous! The government needs to stop undervaluing our soldiers lives and bring them back from a war that will rage on for centuries to come! What good will come from this war really? If our government cared about getting revenge on Osama bin Laden, then they would have caught him by now. I don't know about the rest of you, but I care about our soldiers and they should not be suffering for some fucking oil in the desert!
