I am gay And I believe being gay is a disease!, stop the bullshit! ...we all hate our dads or have a problem with men admit it to ur self dont reply saying u dont
@nevashiva Speak for yourself and not all of us. I love my father and I admire him greatly for all that he accomplished in his life, not the least of which was helping my mother raise myself and my sisters. Being gay is not an disease any more than being left handed or blue eyed. I also don't have any problem with good men. I steer clear of liars, cheaters and other bad guys.
You should talk to someone about your feelings towards your father & yourself.
I would love to see these scenes from the original pilot shot with George Peppard. Damn shapiros for never releasing it. The whole pilot was shot with Peppard before he was fired.
Al Corley reminds me a lot of Michael C. Hall. Looks and acting wise. Compared to the wooden acting of Jack Coleman, Corley deserved an Emmy. Again, damn Shapiros for ruining "Steven" and letting Al go.
the 1st steven was a HAWT piece of ummmm tasty. now i would have loved to seen him throughout the show's run. i know y he left and that was a good stand.
Blake - "... I forgot. The American Psychiatric association decided it's no longer a disease. That's too bad. I could've endowed a foundation. The Steven Carrington Institute for the treatment and study of faggotry. Well, if you'll excuse me ... I've gotta go get married."
This was GREAT scene I had never scene it. It was so far ahead of its time speaking to the oil industry and the use of wind and corn processing technology to replace America's oil addiction.. PLUS the coming out and Blake's resistiance and use of the "F" word. Mentioning that Pshychatric no longer consideres it a disease....so much in ONE scene... AMAZING
I saw that pilot on it's original air date but I never realised that the interior of the Carrington Mansion for the pilot was actually shot in a real mansion and that after the pilot for the series the interior was a sound stage in LA, Hollywood. And also the John Forsyth was regroomed after the pilot make him softer and he gained some weight so the pilot must have been shot months before the series.
Yeah. What a giant mistake, which removed immeasurable dimension from the series. Blake became predictable and dull, which gave Krystle no place to go as a character, which then made HER even MORE predictable and dull. Dynasty was great, but scenes like that one in the study make me sad when I see that it could've been so much more. Early moments like that make me sad for the Dynasty we never really got.
@ErsatzWino Well he was a control freak, dominating his son,,killing his son's lover, raping his new wife and banishing his first wife from her children; I can see that when he became mundane this affected Krystle's character, but their mutual love sustained and prolonged the show, faced with the onslaught of losing the original Steven and Fallon, and the introduction of Adam and Amanda mark 1 and 2. So why not go the whole hog and give Blake and Barack Obama a common sister, Dominique Deveraux.

Powerful and still timely today.

is this steven in his teen years cause i've seen the steven/luke storyline but this was obviously before that
lovelydiva06 3 years ago
No, he's 24 here. When he dates Luke, he's 28.

Blake was supposed to be Jock Ewing and J.R. all in one, but in a non-Texas way. Then they went and gave him a conscience.

Meaty drama that slid downhill into cotton candy.

What a horrible father!... I cant believe "sterling" Krystle would marry a man like this! Blake sure softened up pretty quickly.
