Thank you so much.. you really are a great guitar teacher, iv'e been looking around the net for video guitar lessons and you are by far the best iv'e seen, kudos you are doing a great job!
I don't seem to be able to find a lesson on how to play "so beautiful" by Pete Murray. I don't suppose you do one!? Or where I can find one? Thanks for your time! : )
I will write the notes in realtation to the capo, when changing from G to Em the picked notes are F#, E; Em to G picked notes F#, G; C to Am picked notes B, A and Am to C picked notes are B, C.
hi. im new to guitar. is it necessary to have that clip on the first fret? and if it is there, how do u place your fingers on the first fret for like C etc.
THe clip is called a capo and it is necessary if you want to play the song in the original key. When you put a capo on then all chords are in relation to the capo (it becomes the head stock so to speak) so you do your C chord shape as normal and just imagine the capo is the head of the guitar (the chord you are actually playing is now a B)
two more question, hehe, when i just have tabbed music how do i know the key it's in? and one last one, are there any websites you can suggest? many thanks!
Not sure if you mean how do you no where to put the capo or actually what key it's in??? The website that I find a lot of tabs on is ultimateguitar, but a lot of them are only partly correct and require some modification, it is rare to find one that is totally correct.
Usually it will tell you if there is a capo and usually the chords are written in relation to the capo. Sometimes the tab won't say if there is a capo so if you lay the chord and it doesn't sound right then I either means there is a capo or the guitar has been tunned down. The key doesn't really matter all that much for playing the guitar, it is wether there is a capo or not that matters.
Hi James another big thankyou...wasnt even going to attempt this song because of the picking but as usual you made it a breeze. Got another one down and I believe a new favourite in my repotoire...Cheers mate Pete (From the gong) ps any chance of some Rod Stewart?
No I mean pick the 2nd fret. The fill is played on the E and A string (or the 2 strings at the top of the guitar), when I say pick the second fret I mean put your finger on the 2nd fret and play whatever string you have fretted (either the E (on the G and Em) or the A (on the C and Am) string depending on which part of the song you are on).
No problem, glad you liked it. I am going to post a lesson on Saving Grace (the one that Pete did only shows the chords, so I will include the strumming pattern for those who can't work it out) in the next couple of days so subscribe if you want to stay tuned.
nice video im new so i would appreciate it if u watched my tutorial and comment on wat i could do better

hey. i mean for any tab you find, how do you know what key it's in (and i think therefore if you need a capo or not?)
thanks, sorry for sounding so stupid.
