I'm making a Toph Bei Fong plush .She's from Avatar: The Last Airbender (I know, I know; it's not technically an anime, but...). They NEVER made an official plushie of her, so I'm making my own. @Sarriex13 That's ok. I think that I have an idea on how to make Toph's bare feet : If you can, just fold that foot area and glue. If you're skilled at cutting out toes, just cut them out. Otherwise, just draw them. Do you think that this will work Sarrie? Thanks in advance for your reply! :)

@1981freespirit I've never made plushies, but im a very good sewing person (lol!!) What you should do is make the feet separate and then sew them on ( or however your putting it together). Same with the hands... also I wouldn't try fingers ( it wouldn't turn out good.. trust me, I've tried :/) The feet, try making a solid foot, then seing lines after you stuff it to make toes. :D hope that helps

Potentially dumb question: is the flesh colored felt actually called 'flesh' or is it called something else? The closest thing I could find was 'cream' and that looked WAY too pale.

You could use anything of that hue. Here are some names that I've found that are used instead of flesh for felt: peach, apricot, pale flesh, cream.

It's way too hard to turn them inside out because they're so narrow. I haven't found a better way to do the arms sooo.

Why not take the body, glue all the limbs, and the head in, inside out (arms, legs, and head all pointing toward center of body), and then just flip it inside out? That way it would look cleaner.

Well, sewing with felt is pretty frustrating, so I would think hot glue's really the only way... Regular felt or fabric glue takes forever to dry and the fabric slips around. It's also really messy and difficult to get off if you get it on an undesired area on your plush.

okay sewing the felt may be "frustrating" for you but i personally perfer it to the hot glue gun. sewing with felt hides all imperfections and it will stay together longer. Go with the thread people, not the glue!

Yes, sewing does hide many imperfections. I will say you are wrong about the staying together longer thing, though, that's about the same.

I don't know how you meant frustrating in the quotations towards me, but I'm not stupid. I CAN sew, I just find glue easier to work with, and it seems so do many people that are leaving comments.

I made 2 dolls and I got 5 pieces of felt and then you will need more for their clothe. I ran out of felt for clothes because I kept messing up so I would buy extra.

ME TOO!!!! and if by flesh you mean fabric then most obviously a fabric store. believe or not there are tons of them around. HOWEVER...It is very expensive to buy from a fabric store. My solution... RECYCLE ! Go to a Thrift store a.k.a. "Second Hand Store" and find a shirt of the right color and of the right fabric. Or you can dollar store it and buy felt (Please note that felt is incredibly hard to sew.)

Why is everyone using hot glue? There is cheaper glue that never lets go. Save glue. I don't know the English name but translated from Dutch it is: (1)Second Glue. Takes a few seconds. :)
