@IcEvayyne They were very much in a private match. They were playing against EA employees around the world. If you look carefully at the usernames it should tell you where they were playing from. For example: EACBF355 = EA Canada & NATC = North America (company headquarters in Redwood City, CA).
@EA They should have played against the Origin dudes specifically or the developers themselves. Playing for 50k is supposed to be a huge challenge, and they should have played against the best of best, and the people who know the maps perfectly because they actually designed them.
I'm not saying they had it easy or anything, both are very good players dedicated mostly to what they do, but a better challenge would have been more exciting.

gameplay-quality wise it will never reach Quake, CS, CSS, CoD2, CoD4 Promod, BF2142 ... which i consider fps games worth to be played competetively due to their high skill ceiling. it also helps that these games weren't designed for consoles, or an audience with an average age of 14.

@IcEvayyne They were very much in a private match. They were playing against EA employees around the world. If you look carefully at the usernames it should tell you where they were playing from. For example: EACBF355 = EA Canada & NATC = North America (company headquarters in Redwood City, CA).

@EA They should have played against the Origin dudes specifically or the developers themselves. Playing for 50k is supposed to be a huge challenge, and they should have played against the best of best, and the people who know the maps perfectly because they actually designed them.
I'm not saying they had it easy or anything, both are very good players dedicated mostly to what they do, but a better challenge would have been more exciting.

@QuMaCi Although I am not a PC purist myself, I do agree. Other than Halo, Timesplitters, Red Faction, and Goldeneye, there really haven't been many good competitive titles on a console.
As for the series, I thought it was a joke. You could tell that other than a few of the pros, the guys on this show have probably never played a video game in their life. Even the pros didn't know much of what they were doing, considering they've never played Battlefield competitively.

Really do not understand how you are all being so fucking ignorant, they are pro's but at their own individual specific game, not this one you dumbasses. You have a search bar right? Called 'GOOGLE' use it. Then think about what you put before judging upon a performance that the gamers are not necessarily used to and do not practice as much on due to their pro status in other games.

well yes, in numbers it is, due to the success of the consoles in the US.
gameplay-quality wise it will never reach Quake, CS, CSS, CoD2, CoD4 Promod, BF2142 ... which i consider fps games worth to be played competetively due to their high skill ceiling. it also helps that these games weren't designed for consoles, or an audience with an average age of 14.

@Hurricane2k8 I meant solely in North America. Of course PC games are more skill-based, but you can't rule out that console games take no skill. Games such as CoD, Halo are very team oriented games where it would require some skill. Im not comparing what games are more competitive than the other, but you cant say Halo isnt competitive. Tsquared and other professional eSports players make a living off of Halo and MLG
