HELLO I need some help with iATKOS v1.0ir2. basically my cd drive on my c14nr went kIA so there is no way for me to boot into osx. Is there anyway I can use a usb flash drive or external hd to boot into the operating system. And an external DVD drive would be choice but I dont have one so im looking for an alternative method. If anyone could help me that would be great.

you have the .ISO then you'll need an ISO burner like Nero or other burn it at low speeds this is important at 2x then set up your computer to boot from the dvd drive

you need a dvd not a cd.

Yes numchuck. Its a modified version of the OSX that was designed to work on *normal* windows computers. But not just this. There's also Kalyway, iDeneb, Jas, and a few other ones.

I am using a Dell Inpsrion 1300 and I have been able to install iAtkos 1.0 OiR2 and I finished the istallation, I re-boots and took the DVD out I selected Mac Ox and the apple logo came up for 5 mins then it restarted it does it in a loop, can anybody help me solve this?

Hey Orteginh. Got everything up and running. Thank you so much for you video. For those of you that have problem booting, try to just select darwin bootloader X86 only. Don't select EFI. It sorts of mess up with the boot and boots straight to vista.

Hi all...

I downloaded iATKOS v1.0ir2.iso.

I double clicked on the file so it opened in Nero and asked for burning to disk.

I placed a DVD+RW(and 2nd time a DVD+R).

I checked (finalize disk)

Verified written data.

Everything is fine.

but when i keep dvd in drive, and boot with DVD drive, it says "OS not found".

can any1 tell me what went wrong????

if you can't and you are bored of trying download the version of iatkos the iatkos v1.0i and install the boot loader from there but first install the iatkos v1.0ir2 without the darwin boot loader then boot up the with the iatkos v1.0i and install manually the darwin boot loader

YOu know what it is i think that is the darwin boot loader that is not working this time it just worked but it usually it doesn't try download iatkos v1.0i and install the R2 as your doing and then after the install succeds install the darwin boot loader from iatkos v1.0i

I followed the same steps in customize. Then i successfully installed the OSX

after the installation my pc just booted into vista like i didn't change a thing...

i dont know why your pc decided to boot into the Leopard after the installation, and mine didnt do that...

well.... now i've got it running, but when i am booting the mac, surprisingly it shows up a light blue screen and then black out. i really don't know what to do now. i tried to boot into safe mode (by typing "-x" in the darwin) but it doesn't seem to work too. what's wrong? i am using intel gma x3100. please help me....

adding more info: it seems to be running fine, but the screen goes black. it isn't on at all, brightness can't be set at all. even if i've installed the supplied x3100 drivers, it doesn't solve this.

Hi, Yours videos are all great but i need help with mine.. i installed it all and it boots up to the mac loading icon but after that it just keeps restarting..Do you have any idea what this might be..i have tried everything i could but im guessing you might have some clues i would much appreciate it.

What did you install in customize if you installed the 4 out of 4 kernels and EFI emulations you can't you only can choose 3 out of the 4 because it makes your computer crash like the restarting problem as you say...

I got very far in the process.

By editing my BOOT.ini file on windows, i had the option to choose between vista and leopard. when i choose leopard, darwin boot pops up (I think i'm running two boot instances).

I choose the partition that has my Leopard installed,

It boots into the grey/apple logo screen which appears to load. and then suddenly it restarts all over again.. What should i do?
