Their companies never painted as much negativity about their own artists as WB did towards Prince. Anyway, Prince will get his total respect & due when he's dead.
It's only now that he's in his 50's, looking great, touring all over the globe that people give him his much due respect. But tons of his music never got played on the radio, he's still fighting 2 get ownership of his WB catalogue. I'm sure it must be very difficult 4 him 4 find Good People 2 trust & depend on 4 honest answers. It must be difficult 4 him 2 stay strong & not let these Haters bring him down. He should have had a career as successful as Madonna & MJ.
I feel that WB records & the media really sabatoged Prince's career. So many less talented artists have done alot better in terms of record sales than Prince. There seems 2 be a dark cloud surrounding Prince & his image. They've painted him as some freak when all they should be painting is how great his music & his art is. They've painted Madonna as like the greatest biz woman but Prince gets labeled as a freak, a nut or whatever & nobody gets 2 hear how great his music is.

I just thought that Prince did fire you guys because he was afraid that you were gonna leave him and so his pride was too strong that instead of you quitting ( can't say I know why u wanted to quit, to do own records?) him, he fired you instead.

@Silicon1991 Prince just wanted to record everything on his own so he fired The Revolution in October 1986! He did a few good records and then kinda flipped and flopped around without the band. I just wish he would stop and push those lazy ass WB people to REMASTER his catalogue with all the b sides and outtakes! Long overdue!
@mrfrogbutt1 I agree Totally about those lazy ass WB peeps. MJ's "Thriller" & "Off The Wall" have been remastered years ago as well as All of The Police's catalogue. I'm still waiting 4 at least "Purple Rain" 2 be remastered but I believe his entire catalogue should be remastered. He's Long Over Due! I just feel that Prince could have had an even More Successful Career if he had been on another label. WB had this genius on their roster & in my opinion He should have been Way More Successful!
@stevie69ful Princey was and is a real threat to companies like WB. Why? Because he's an actual artist. WB could'nt control his output nor creations so they sabotaged him. Now, if you take a look around there are no more artists (maybe a small handful) everyone around is a studio creation or Disney affiliation of some kind because those are easy to control and dispose of once the novelty wears off.

I do have a question for Wendy; did Prince's engagement to your sister Susannah contribute to the tension that would one day lead to the Revolution's demise or did Prince have plans all along to change the dynamics of the band ie... The New Power Soul and Generation? Thank you for the good music.
